do i need to set family rules to my bun bun? she will arrive this saturday. my friends told me that it seems that we don't trust her from the very beginning and she will not feel happy for working for us, this will affect her working attitude.
moreover,i need her to take care of my bb(16 mths old),
i don't know if she can get well with bb, if not, if i set the time schedule for her, she may not be able to fulfill what i've arranged to her.

we can not say we are 嚴厲的,殘酷的 to any new maid
just same as you when you signed your employment letter with your existing/current company, I guess your have received an employee handout or handbook which list out all the regulations and rules that an employee must be followed if you are intended to work in the company!

And I think those rules are so basic and logical, every reasonable human being must be followed !

to protect yourself as a maid under the existing law for hiring a maid, I guess you must set those rules ! because the law is so weak and can not protect us :-(

I didn't ask my maid to sign on the houserule & timetable but I told her she must follow. I don't think it is harsh for her.

I have a houserule schedule & timetable from other BK mums. If you want a copy, please let me have your email address.

Fully agreed with tonyhkg and leegbd. When I join a new company, I have to sign company rules (or IT policy, etc.) on my first day, on top of my employment contract. It does not mean that my new company does not trust me. Therefore, I also have my yan yan signed my house rules on her first day. My house rule has 12 pages in English and Indonesian (translated by my agent), so that my yan yan and I have no problem to read it.

I agree with you. Houserule & timetable must be set. Like my last Phil maid, I didn't give her houserule & timetable, she had so many spare time and just did sometimes I could notice easily. When my current yan yan came, I gave her houserule & timetable. As I am working, I must ensure she knows what she needs to do and my requirements during day time.:idea:

What do you mean by 'in contract most of it already stated if you read... are you referring to the green color DH Contract ?? What have been stated on it ?? I think the terms and conditions on the DH contract are not so clear and have 灰色地帶 which caused so many problems with most of the employers (as we are) need to face today !

A separate rules and duties must be set and make sure your maid is fully understanding (at least understand your basic work requirement) if not....later she will not listen to your instruction !

Try to set schedule to her may be everyday or a fix one (i think is no point cos everyday u may chg some task for her )no time frame list the task for her and ask her finish ,that is what i do .
