i think most schools in macau/HK are about the same styles ... except for the int'l schools. but most chinese think the int'l schools are too "relax" and too "free".
here's my personal opinion:
abt the schools that u mentioned abt, i think SHCC is ok. i didn't feel much pressure when i studied there years ago (don't know abt it now). i still had lots of spare time in the evenings to watch TV and took other classes such as portuguese, etc.
actually one reseach said the kids learn better at a same-gender school. it might be true, coz i gained self-confident after i graduated from high school. when i was in a co-ed elementary school, i felt that my math was not as good as some boys. however, that thought was completely changed when i was in the science classes at the university with the boys.
