Hi, I know a lot of mums use Alfresco on their babies. I want to check if this is ok for daily use? I live in Sai Kung and the 'mosquito season' is coming... so I better be prepared!

I had tried the Swisso Baby insects repellent lotion and it works well on me. But my baby was too young last summer so I didn't try it on him (besides, I didn't get the lotion for infants but the one for age 3 & above).

Money-wise, the Aflresco lotion is about $320 / 200ml vs. Swisso Baby lotion is $135 / 150ml.

Can any mum share your comments on these 2 brands with me? Many thanks!!

我冇用過alfresco，不過我用過都係天然成份的burtsbee's 的天然驅蚊油($99，4oz)，好有效呀，好大枝，而家都未用晒。我家姐個女超惹蚊，都覺得好用。我地用burt's bees的res q cream($59)用來搽蚊咬好止痕，價錢又合理﹗
不過我係在樓上鋪買的，比起在萬寧買平好多。

Yes ar, it is 遺傳. According to my doctor, he said it is mostly from mother's side. But I am not g6pd deficiency ga bor. I guess I am a carrier gwar...

The hospital has taken a blood test for my bb as soon as he was born and I knew about this from my doctor in that afternoon la.

Btw, I got Alfresco's written reply as follows (FYI):
"...In most circumstances our anti bug bite moisturizer is fine for adults and children babies and nursing mothers. I’m afraid I am ignorant of G6PD so cannot advise. Would it help if I send you the ingredients?
Acqua is not suitable for children..."

So they can't confirm whether their product is ok for use on g6pd babies....

Actually this will be my first time ordering from their site, so I am not sure. But even if they charge the packaging fee (should be GBP3.5 for 2 quantity), that's still cheaper than buying them in HK, right?

我個BB係８個月大開用左 Swisso 先(依我記憶, 啱幾個月大 baby 用既防蚊係oil), 不過效果唔係咁好同埋"笠"佢唔鍾意, 我先又去 Sogo 再搵第二隻!! 個 Sogo staff ...

我想問Alfresco初生BB用得嗎？仲有除左Sogo邊度有得賣呢？因為我住新界，唔該晒！
