I would like to get some advise ....
I am living quite far from central, it takes me around 1.5hr one way to work. I am thinking should I buy a car.

budget: new car, small one, around 200k can full pay
Parking: 2200 per month, 5-10mins walk from home ; no parking at work place but can park there occasionally

The main point that I would like to have a car because if I have better transport to HK side or Kln side, I can do some part time jobs (desirable hourly paid job), estimate 5k to 10k or more a month depends on working hours.

I enjoy driving but I am not an experienced driver.

其實中環有個場，停車費相對唔算貴。
150日泊（入車到半夜12點），一個月當你返20日都係3000 ，好多位，實泊到

I think I will wait till I got a free parking space (hv to wait, company provides) then I will buy a car.

agree. monthly / ad hoc / annual maintenance+depreciation.. on average can easily goes up to 10k a month on average (esp. if you don't have friend in garage...)
and driving in HK is really not a joyful experience.... (particularly for those living in HK island)..
actually driving somehow degraded my living quality (or consumed much of my time) as I need to spend more time to maintain the car, and getting congested on road or having a long queue to wait for a parking slot (i only use on weed-end)..
so now I chose to take taxi and sold my car already.

Depends on your financial status. I am sure that you monthly expense can be increased by 10000 easily. It won\'t save you much time to commune to the office. However, it could fulfill your enjoyment of driving

好多人揸架車去到奧運站泊低架車轉地鐵返中環，奧運站滙豐中心日泊$120朝八晚八，或者月租二千零蚊

我有同事住我附近，如果自己揸車可以遲半個鐘出門，放工更快。我比其他上班族要早少少返到公司，所以未塞得好勁，不過養車花費係大D

不喜歡住港島所以不會考慮了

Thank you so much for your advice.I will think about it over the x'mas :) I am not in urgent needs but it's nice to have a car for the aforementioned reason and my mom is getting old and I want to bring her to various places around HK to enjoy food and natural scenery :)

樓主平時梗係搭車返工瞓覺冇留意交通情況, 每朝九龍揸車去港島都塞到PK架喎, 揸車頂多快十至廿分鐘, 唔覺得會有咩大幫助, 反而養車仲要用多咗錢添, 好似上面其他人既提議搬去港島住好過啦

樓主，如你只是週末消閒用車，可不考慮租車。一來成本比較低，又可以有唔同車款選擇，重有唔駛自己煩保養維修等問題。皇冠、大昌行等等都有租車服務

For brand new car, the depreciation is much more significant than a 6-7 yrs used car. Also bear in mind that you need to pay more on insurance for brand new car (全保) while it is not a must for 60-70k used car (三保).

For maintenance, brand new car is less likely undergoing maintenance yet the dealer will force you to go back to them for routine check and replacement of consumables , which charges you 3~5k biannually or every 5000km. If you got some friends who know cars well, they may be able to help you choose a car with good condition (i.e. last owner keeps the car well) and the same spending may be lower than brand new one.

Other chatters here may further advise the difference on the cost between brand new and second hand car (NB: I am the second owner of my current car, which was manufactured in 2006).
