Hello, I am a GP in HK now undergoing skills assessment for application of visa 189. Can anyone share their migration experience?
1. How long does it usually take for specialist registration at AHPRA?

2. For Visa 189, how long will it take for invitation?

3. Is it difficult to find full/part time GP job in Melbourne?

4. What's the income of GP in Melbourne, and after tax?

5. I intended to settle in Melbourne 2 yrs before expiry of visa, then apply for RRV. Would RRV usually be granted?

For lump skin biopsy , GP can do it or refer that to skin specialist, but for joint reduction and closed facture mx, due to your experience , due to is still need to seen by orth specialist also pre and post X-ray

i am not sure which suburb is the best to start with, as I am not familiar with Melbourne.
但澳洲有樣嘢好，澳洲人已經習慣GP通常都係from other countries,同埋唔介意你係咪澳洲人。如果你做得好，唔理你係邊都有人來睇，澳洲人自己都成日講好難搵到好GP.同埋中國GP有樣 advantage, 就係chinese都想搵番chinese GP, 同聲同氣麻!

AN check, Pap smear are also done by GP in HK. Are GP in OZ expected to do office procedures eg simple lumps excision, reduction of joints, managing closed fracture etc. Is delivery by GP common in OZ?

想問下澳洲GP要付責範圍廣闊過HK，
例如產前檢查，pep smear 都係GP做

HK醫生過來要再讀cert？

bulk billing係一項medical benefit.
即patient去睇醫生，如果個醫生bulk bill, 咁個patient唔使比任何費用,而個醫生便向政府攞返錢，當然有上限。有些醫生覺得無得做，便會講明唔bulk bill,即patient要比gap.
好多大clinic會行bulk bill, 密食都3番，或者大城市醫生都會，因競爭大。

Thanks. What is bulk billing? Are there different ways of billing? I think probably GP post in Melbourne is preferred. Have u heard about Allied Medical Group or IPN in OZ?

Really depends on are you opening your own clinic or share with someone, also bulk billing is a issue

If you a GP, it is not hard to find a job at all in OZ. GP is also very important in OZ, all the specialist referrals have to vome through GP.

And for income, I think it is not bad at all

and the salary usually depends on you work dor yourself, or clin7c, bulk bill or not....

yes, you will be granted for 5year rrv after you have lived in OZ for two years

and how long it takes for invitation? according to my knowledge, GP has it own process timeframe, I believe GP will get invitation much faster than the other applicants.
