其實你過年前已返到，不過太多嘢做，無咩時間上來分享。

今次行程最開心就係我個女，我想佢真係好鐘意澳洲，由上機果日已經開心到爆，一d都無唔慣，令我同老公諗係咪真係要走呢？！

ok，講番perth先，perth比我的第一個印象就係熱，果到真係好熱，不過成日有風，d風都幾涼吓，所以係好熱的天氣底下都要著外套，怪怪地。不過我老公就好喜歡果邊天氣，而且我個女的濕疹明顯有改善，不過我d skin就差在好多，第二日成塊面都紅晒。so，都唔知點。

至於perth地方真係好大，有d覺得荒蕪的感覺，而且d屋都幾舊咁，不過離city或市區遠一些的地方d(近海)屋都幾靘，又大，都唔錯。

perth的風景唔錯，不過就真係好靜，除在星期四，所有鋪頭5p.m便關門。我本來都係喜歡靜的人，不過無可否認perth真係好好好靜，靜到我自己都覺得有d可怕！

perth香港人不多，通常都係學生。至於family都係來自大陸多一些。

overall, 今次的trip，我老公同個女對perth的感覺就非常之好。而我就ok啦！不過有樣嘢我就好like，就係d人，果邊d人真係好nice，唔似sydney咁！至於會唔會去perth落腳，我同老公都想看埋adelaide同mel先再下決定。so，下一次的目的地可能會是ade 同mel！

Yes, I got my visa after the regulation change, so 4 years stay is our condition to get the citizenship.

Our situation is very close. Besides of the living environmrnt, the job opportunity is one of our main concern.

so did you apply your visa before they change the regulation. I mean do you need to stay in OZ for 2 years or 4 years in order to get the citizenship? I need to stay in OZ for 4 years before I can apply the citizenship.

Our visa will be expaired in 2013, if we leave HK to OZ in 2013, then we won't be able to go back to HK for the whole 4 years. That's not what I want. However, we don't want to leave soon, because we want our daughter to have more time with our families, So, we are still struggling.......

Anyway, we are still not so sure where to stay in OZ. Perth is ok for me (my husband likes it very much); however, it seems hard to find a job in Perth. My husband also wants to make a visit to Brisbane first. He heard that Brisband has a nice weather. Thus, we may make another visit at the end of this year before we make our final decision.

1. Perth is our choice as we were studied over there before. (I haven't been Perth over 10 year, so before we made any decision, we would visit again)
2. Adelaide just too boring for us.
3. Syd & Mel a bit old city, I hate the weather in Mel (I got hay fever over there).

So, will you choose Perth?

We still have a lot of thing to consider about. Thus, I really want to know how other people make their decision, such as when to leave and where to settle. If you don't mind, please share with us. Like anywhere else in the world and other cities in Australia, it's now getting harder to find decent jobs in the Sunshine Coast.

I just read a recent local newspaper report.
Back in 1998, the Sunshine Coast had an unemployment rate of 13.5%, which was much higher than the rest of major AUS cities - but this statistics could be Misleading because it was the Retirees rushing to th Sunshine Coast for the weather in the first place!

The three major industries in the Coast are Property Development & Construction, Retailing and Tourism - they're all slowing down quite dramatically.

But my wife and I could see some good opportunities. To give you an example, there are at least 25 Private Schools here in the Coast and there is an increasing demand for private tution - in particular, Maths.

You may wish to visit the following websites for more information,

www.pelicanwaters.com (Our Suburb)

We could be biased because we like where we live. May be you should pm another BK member, ALAU, we met her and her family last year in Gold Coast and they subsequently visited the Sunshine Coast - she could give you her moe unbiased views about the Sunshine Coast.

And you should also look at Brisbane - NEVER limit your choice to 1 City only.

I'm still struggling between Perth & Sydney.

I don't like Mel's weather (it cause me Hay fever) & Ade (I feel much more boring than Perth). We never think about the Sunshine coast because we never been there. I also like to know the job market & the living standard. Could you please kindly share some more information with me?
