I finally got more weekend time with siu fong, I am teaching her few subjects these days:
1. recognize letters ABC - she knows how to sing ABC but she doesn't recognize any letters/words, i'm teaching her with flash card or drawing the letters with her.
2. feelings - I got a new dvd on barney showing on different feelings like happy, sad, mad. I read about other mummies 'blogs and seems like we can start teaching them now.
3. more animals - besides the animals in farm. we start watching nemo. she learns about clown fish, starfish and others.
4. weathers - ask her about cloudy/windy/rainy/hot/cold.
5. days of the week- although she learn that from school, she still not able to know if today is monday or not. but that's okay, I think she will learn once she goes to school. (as no school on Sat).

any other subjects we can teach??

Same for me! I've no specific themes because I'm not a well-organized person.

I usually sing the songs from PG and DVD with Panda girl, teach her the animals from books.

Same as Dala Dala, I also coach her to perform self-care tasks.

Most importantly, I hope to manage her emotions and extend her attention span to areas other than watching TV!

Ivy, I think it'd be better for your son to play with other kids. He will be more willing to try new things ah!

Once again, I'm so grateful that Ruby had opened such a meaningful topic for our discussion!

近排教阿B著鞋仔(魔術貼)

跌左一隻鞋仔...

講起學行樓梯
我B係開頭一隻手拖住我, 另一隻手仔扶著欄杆
一步一步行上去
開頭都行唔到, 話驚驚
後尾我兩隻手都捉實佢對手仔
慢慢拖佢行上去來回了好多次. 佢冇咁驚就肯自己一隻手仔扶著欄杆行
不過真係要小心D 睇實
我B有次響屋企行樓梯叉錯腳
成個大冬瓜咁由一樓碌落廳..起左層樓送俾阿媽

o甘咪o係屋企後樓梯度練習囉，起碼有得扶住，又近屋企整dirty咗行返屋企都好近。

我o個時未生BB個婦產科醫生叫我行多D樓梯o甘我又怕危險，咪叫姐姐（印印）陪我行囉，仲攞定手提有咩時都可以call人嚟嘛。

我最近都頭痕梗, b仔自小我地都冇帶佢去公園, 因為屋企附近公園都幾dirty, c6 又懶唔肯去其他公園, 因為泊廾唔方便, eg 九龍公園, 又唔比我自己帶b仔去, 所以最近三次上playgroup, 有得 sir 滑梯, b仔點都唔肯 sir, 我都冇佢呼.

另外moraine o係playgroup既主題係生日。有吹爉燭﹑切蛋糕﹑講關於生日會既故事﹑做生日帽等。

關於自理方面,最近上左個課程, 教左好多點樣訓練小朋友自理既方法, 好有用, 有機會再同大家分享。

For my elder daughter, I remember I taught her ABC by using a set of alphabet cards with a book. The book has content like "A for apple" etc and with big pictures. I started reading the book to her and have her repeat back. Then put the alphabet cards on the floor, and play a game with her. The game is, I say the words like A for apple, and she has to find the card "A". After playing a few times, she can recognize all the alphabets and able to say A for what, B for what etc.

I think they learn better through games.

你地真係勁，教得出成續，又具體。

我暫時無specific 的lessons。不過我會將重點放在佢可以拿握/喜歡的事，例如佢喜歡看書、看車、執拾、打波，咁我就環繞呢d事教佢shape、color、counting。

另外，我仲努力教緊佢基本的自理技巧，例如食飯、飲水……戒片將在回暖後開始。

有時也會同佢sing and dance，不過都係我一個人做獨腳戲，heehee﹗

此外，我想教多點佢關於sharing and giving的事，盡量以滲入生活的方式教導。

嘩！你地教ｄ嘢好高層次！我日日都係玩吓ｄｒａｗｉｎｇ，認吓字，唱吓歌，做吓動作，鞋襪天氣感情都冇特別教．等我今晚開始試吓先！
