It is very difficult to find a newborn experience local maid. I gave birth at the end of Sept, I was still searching a maid in the beginning of Sept. I was very miserable too.
This is true that they don't like madam stays at home. Many maids asked me whether I will work after delivery.
Since it it so difficult to find a maid, I finally look for a local maid who does not look ugly and under 40. I don't mind she has no newborn experience because I don't go to work.
Luckily, my maid loves my girl and has good chinese food cooking skill. Of course, no one is perfect. Anyway, she takes good care of my girl, I will forgive her weakness.
If you are a stay-in mom, perhaps you can consider about taking a fresh girl from overseas to train up rather than change yourself to suit those locals' local requirements.
