Congrats! I am so happy for you! Ready or not, you will become a mommy soon! :) Do you have any morning sickness yet? What's your hcg number? Would that be a chance for twins?
I just checked back our very first conversation. It was 2 years ago around the same time...can't believe that we talked/supported to each other for 2 years already..and finally you and I both have what we wished for!
So, how much did you end up paying to FPNC?

Hi, my blood test came back positive. Hooray!!
I will go back for my first ultra sound after next week. Hopefully a heartbeat will be heard at that time. I'm so excited to get my first BFP after trying to conceive for almost 4 years.

Both of my IVFs were day 3 transfer. I just remembered I had a mild cramp feeling, and sometimes I had the pinch feeling on either the right side or left side of the tummy. This pinch feeling will get stronger after the confirmation. Other than that, I didn't get any morning sickness or tireness on both of my pregnancy.

So you will have your test tomorrow? Good luck! Let me know what you have. I am so nervous too!

Hi Yoyocutie,

You had two very successful IVF! Did you do a Day 3 or Day 5 transfer ?

I didn't choose ICSI for this cycle as the embryologist thought it is not needed on the day of ER.

I'm now 6 days post ET, but I don't feel anything at all.... I have a little mild cramp on and off. I know it has been a long time for you, but did you have any pregnancy symptom after the ET from two of your successful cycles ?

Good for you! You have 8 embryos with 8A and 7A. When I did mine...the first time I had 20 eggs retrieved, I only had 7 embryos with 1-7A, 1-6A, and the rest were 5As and 4As. Luckily I got my daughter the first time. Then the second time I retrieved 17 eggs, and got 12 embryos with 8As and 7As. I got my son on this time. Since you transfered 2 8As, you are already half way success. Did you use ICSI this time?

During my 2WW, I drunk a cup of whole milk everyday. I watched some funny movies to help myself to relax my mind. I actually told myself that "I can do this! My chance of being pregnant is higher than the normal person already because I am not in the old age group and my body responded well for all the medication....I have to be confidence with my 2 babies and I am just waiting to be confirmed." By thinking that way, my mind was in peace a lot in that 2WW.

I did use the home pregnancy test on all of my transfers one day before the blood test. I wish you luck. You still have 1 week to go...let me know the result, okay!

I got the ET done last Friday. I'm now in the 2ww with a lot of anxiety and speculation. Dr. Nelson told me that the success of IVF is completely determined by the quality of embryo whether it will keep growing or not and there is very little we can do to affect the outcome. However, I'm still having the fear of failure...... I don't know what I can do to relax myself and stop thinking about the outcome.

I did a Day 3 ET. I got 29 egg retrieved but end up with only 8 embryos that are grade 8A and 7A. I was surprised that only 8 out of 29 is viable, but Dr. Nelson said it is very normal. We transferred 2 8A and freeze the rest.

Did you use home pregnancy test before the blood test from your last two IVF ?

I am back to work for a month la. Luckily, my mom can help me to take care both of the kids. My daughter just starts to go to the pre-school, so my mom only needs to take care the baby during the day time.

I think my stimulation period was about the same as yours. I don't remember if my Estradiol level was high or not, but I had a mild OHSS after the ET too.

You have a lot of the follicles... that is already a good start. Just give yourself to dr. Nelson...he will make a good judgement for you. When is your ER and ET? Let me know how's going, okay! I will be here to support support you!

Congratulation to your baby boy!! It is so perfect to have a girl and a boy! Are you planning to go back to work full time with two kids now ?

I'm going back for my last ultra-sound and blood work tomorrow before the HCG trigger shot! I have been trying to stay calm and not put too much hope and pressure on this cycle because I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't work.

Do you remember how long you were on the stimulation before they gave you the trigger shot ?

I have been on stimulation for about 8 days and I have developed a lot of follicles but my Estradiol level (blood test) is raising very fast and the doctor said I might have to trigger a day earlier to prevent OHSS but will risk losing some eggs that are not ready to mature yet...... I feel like this whole IVF thing is all about timing.

My baby was born in Jun already. Now I am in that club too! ha ha!

My daughter was an ICSI baby. The first time we did half natural and half ICSI, and both went through the fertilization stage. It turned out that the ICSI embryos' grade were a little bit better then the natural ones, so they put the ICSI ones back into my body. The second time we didn't do the ICSI because dr Nelson said they were not sure if my hubby's sperm was good at the first time, so they suggested us to do half and half; but the second time they were for sure that my hubby's sperms were strong enough to break through the egg's wall and became fertilized, so he suggested no need to do the ICSI.

I have started the IVF cycle this month FINALLY!!! I'm on birth control pills now and will go to the injection training next week. I would like to know whether you have elected to use the ICSI before ? Dr. Nelson gave me this option but I'm still thinking if it is necessary.

Have you seen the coordinator yet? Did you get your birth control pill from her already? She will give you the instruction and the schedule once you see her. Whenever you are ready to start the process, you can call the coordinator to let her knows when it's day 1. If you are ready now...give her a call on Mar25. So excited that you finally start your treatment!

My work schedule has finally slowed down this week from the busy season. I'm really burned out from work ......

and I can't wait to see Dr. Nelson and start the IVF this month!! I remember you told me that you started taking birth control pill on day 1 in July and had your ER and ET in Sep. How long it usually requires to be on the birth control pill before the IVF? If my day one will be March 25, can I start the IVF this cycle? or I will have to wait till my next cycle in April?

Finally getting some words from you. Good to hear that you are ready to go. So you will start the treatment in Mar? I really hope that you can be the same as me, then we can share the pregnancy experience too. Let me know when you actually start the progress...I will let you know what I did and I will mentally support support you! Don't forget to use the ice pad to cover the area for 30 sec before you give yourself shot. It will be painless.

Happy new year! Hope you had a relaxing holiday and your pregnancy has been going well :> Have you found out the gender of your baby yet?

Although I don't like Stanford very much, I decided to see a ob/gyn that is affiliated with Stanford because it is closest to my home and the convenience is quite important to me after all.

I'm in public accounting so the hours of my
work are beyond crazy till March..... but I have made some progress for the IVF treatment. I have got all the bloodwork, ultrasound and test done and I'm ready for the IVF once I can free up some time from work!!

I'm still considering whether I should pay a premium for the ARC program and if I should pay for the 2 cycle or 3 cycle package in case I don't get pregnant on my first attempt. There is a lot of factors to consider when choosing the financial options.

BTW, Rose-Mag, thanks for your message! I really hope I will have the luck to become a mother like yoyocutie and you!
