This travel agent book ticket for customers only if they go there in person, they don't take reservation by phone. So I kinda afraid that this agent would tell me that the ticket of the price range being quoted wasn't available anymore when I eventually went there (many ofthe ttricky agencies had this tactics), therefore in the end, I didn't book with them. I prefer to book with the agent who can reserve tickets for me thru phone and send me the itinerary first, so to confirm that they can secure the price for me.
I just booked Taiwan Package from this travel agent and back from Taiwan last sunday.
I will suggest not to buy package via this travel agent.
I felt cheated by the sales.
Firstly, choose "Taipei Garden" hotel with room for 4 persons. Check it by phone, it need to check availablt face to face. When we went there, no room. Then recomment us another hotel...
Secondly, once we confirmed a package of Eva Airline. After checking, no ticket, then ask us to upgrade. We choose upgrade to Dragon with additonal charge of HKD300 per person. After checking, no ticket again. Then ask us to try China Airline. We rejected, finally upgrade to Thai Ariway with additional charge of HKD200 per person.
Once we booked the package. I think again and don't satisfy with the hotel. I called the sale to change hotel and are willing to pay additional fee......answer is "no" after some conversations.
When we went to the hotel, the hotel is ok except the size seems too small for 4 persons. We asked hotel to change room as room fee should be same while we booked the package. Hotel asked us pay additional charge and hotel didnot help to contact our agent. Then, we make overseas call to the sale and ask her to arrange change room for us. As the package fee should be same but we were misled by room type. The sales said that the room price is changed for this type of room now. (the sales admitted that price is same when we booked the package on last July) . ok, the contract is changed but the travel agent should have the power to bargain for us just for changing a room for us.......finally. of course, answe is still "NO".
So, I think that the travel agent is not good. They have no any power to help their customers.
Please buy package via other travel agent. I never to buy travel pacakge via this agent and ask all my friends to do the same.
