I bought some brand name bags before, e.g.
Celine (leather...but a bit heavy)
LV (shoulder bag...still a bit too heavy)
Chanel (elegant...but too small for daily use)
Gucci (cotton...not durable)
Agnes B (not stylish enough)
Now, I tend to buy no brand cheaper bags (light, and shoulder bags). Maybe my hubby doesn't want me to chase those brand name products and I also try to improve the total look (have my own style). I hope people won't just look at my handbag (which is meaningless), but the mix & match of clothes.
