I live in US too.
You don't need to tell much, I know. Teenagers in US is hard to deal with anyway even with their own blood realated parents.
Can imagine very difficult and tired for you....it's always tough to be a step-parent huh....
I had one, he is at 13 now, a kid with very good personality, but of course also hv lots of problems just like other teens. And I have total diff perspective on how to coach him as my hubby which is the major problem.
What I learnt is NOT to take the role of a mum (deep in his and his father's mind we are not their mum actually, through maybe unconscious). Whenever there is conflict, I treat my hubby as "fren" only and so I may only give advice but I let them to fix it by themselves. Getting involved will only make u tired and not be appreciated.
And of course let's be the sweet wife and aunt when time is good.....
ndw, thank you so much for your reply thought no one will reply me!! My hubby have 2 kids, daughter will turn 18 in October and she moved out and son will turn 12 in Sep. , he is living with us and my hubby got a full custody! He is living with us and he stay at his mom every other weekend!!
Long story..dont even know where should i started!! I living in US now, sometime I really really wanna go back to HK with my daughters!!
