阿囡剛小一, 有睇開ORT Level 5, 想知還有那些英文書適合小一生看呢? 阿囡話想睇Rainbow Magic, 但我覺得對佢黎講比較深, 還有那些比較好?

Thanks for your recommendation. These titles are also on my list, but my girl are more interested to fairy/princesses. maybe the Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair are more suitable for her. Moreover, she will need some time to 'digest' the books I bought. Also on the list are Milly-Molly-Mandy and Mr. Majeika.

10% off promotion is over. they don't charge delivery. I use USd as the billing currency, so nomarlly it's around 7.9. it's more stable than GBP. Previously the GBP order I made is around 12.7-12.9. (all include charges by credit card.) If bookshop in HK offer just 20% off, it will definitely cheaper to order online from UK. However, when there are crazy sale item, that will depend.

最近D UK/US 網上書店都做10% Off 或free delivery, 大大出血, 禁不住懷疑自己其實係咪借阿女過穚做bookaholic. 買時好興奮,收書時好開心, 不過信用卡帳單到時就. . .

You must start with Rainbow fairies series first (1st 7 books) In the 1st book Ruby the Red fairy, the main characters met and set the scence of the stories. In my opinion, if a child never touch chapter book before, it is better to have parents read to her. after 1 or 2 books, they can probably read on their own because the story line are more or less the same (The evil guy do something bad and the main characters help fairies to undo the wrong things). Then depends on your child's interest, read different series. For example, my girl does not have interest in animals and sports, so I skip the pet fairies and sport fairies.

Rainbow magic is a good starter.
1st book, I read to my daughter.
2nd book, I read 1st chapter, and pause for doing other works and she picked it up and starting reading on her own.
There is a colourful Rainbow Magic pop-up book which could put the scence and words in the book to something more tangible. It's expensive (more than 160 with only few pages - pop up books are expensive), but it works. There are more difficult words in Tiara Club. Heard that Magic Ballerina is also good, but since my girl doesn't practice ballet, so I drop that out. Hope this help.

i recommend the whole set of Disney fairy tales. when i was small i was given these kinds of books to raise my interests in learning english
