Hi,
I stayed at STAR 2 years before with my family. I took some photos in my BLOG, you can take a look & hope it can help.
hi Candy BB, read your blog about Sabah, thanks.
i saw some toys at the beach. just wonder would the hotel provide sand playing toys ? or do we need to bring for the kids?
Did anyone know STAR or Rasa Ria Kids Club is better then?

STAR 's kid club is the best. We stayed there for 2 times the years before. Magic show in Friday night is unforgetable experience for my kid. And room service before 5am ? is free of charge.

Unfortunately, the hotel is under renovation now?!
Thanks all your suggestions! I think I will stay in Rasa Ria and will not move to the other hotel. You know I have two kids. It will be too tired to move from one place to the other.
Rasa Ria could join the Orange utan Tour, btw, can stay there for 1 night only to play all hotel facilities, the rest stay in like novotel and go to islands, saved much costs.

Just came back from Shangri La Rasa Ria. The resort was beautiful. But don't expect too much from the kids' club. It is just a centre with lots of toys, books and a sand pit. Although there are many activities for kids, you should be aware of the minimum age requirement (6 or 7yr, better check with the hotel in advance) and they are quite expensive.
I went with 2 kids (3yrs) and we spent most of the time at the pool. Although sounded boring, the stay was very enjoyable and the kids had a lot of fun.
About the restaurnats, they only have one Japanese, Indian, Western, and International Cafe (with limited choices of local flavours). We got bored with the food from the 2nd day on and went to downtown for seafood most of the time, but the taxi fare was expensive, RM80 one way (HKD200) as the ride took 45 mins.
