I just checked that my husband does not need to have the licesne to apply for the skills migration. He only needs to apply for skills assessment which is based on academic qualifications. But he only has 110 points. If he got all "B" in OET, he should have enough points then....

The problem now is he gets a job offer with 457 working visa for 3 years. He is going to have OET again, so if he gets sufficient points, can he applies for PR onshore? I cannot find a suitable type for his situation....

澳洲政府好識賺錢啦.....我地申請TR已做過一次體檢, 但申請PR時, 又要再做多次體檢, 雖然唔夠一年, 但話個次唔計喎. 好在良民證唔使再申請多次!

lodge the application just before he turns 18, they look at the age when you lodge the visa application, not when they grant you the visa. so should be ok.

其實放棄香港的工作過澳洲係一個好大的決定, 希望你一切順利啦....

我剛收到回覆原來我老公係要考埋個license exam先可以apply PR, 所以我地要拿457visa去做野, 一年左右考牌, 之後再申請sponsor PR... , 希望一切也順利, 因為想拿咗PR才生第二個....

我地當年就係驚TR會批得遲過PR, (因為當時未改例, PR都好快批出), 所以我地等我husband間公司幫佢申請TR, 批咗啦, 搞點哂所有野, 臨出發先online apply PR. 我地來到澳洲4個月左右, PR就批了.

後來澳洲開始有聲音話移民太多, 分薄資源云云, 政府於是在2010年收緊移民條件. 現在批出時間可能會有很大分別.

妳上移民局網址慢慢睇, 就會搵到有一頁話妳知各種visa大概等候時間. 申請父母過來, 現在都要等起碼10年........好慘......

That is, if you apply for TR, PR and sponsored PR at the same time, say, you get your PR approved first, you must cancel your other applications in writing, otherwise if you get TR as the last approved visa, your PR will be cancelled.

You can apply sponsored PR while waiting for 175, just need to pay the application fee $$$ and do the paper work all over, I guess.

The employer said if my husband passed the license exam in Australiam, then they could sponsor him for PR or my husband can find sponsorship from private company easily.So, if I have applied 175 visa, can it change to sponsorship visa application to facilitate the process?
