My son is in the uk now. He is not a student anymore, last year he got master. Recently he experienced bad sleeping condition. Symptoms like suddenly aroused during sleep appear. Can't get continuous sleep often. He has already concluded it is the result of too much brain thinking during the daytime. He is all alone in a small town, and not london, with no friends actually, only colleagues. He found it quite boring especially after dinner.
Any mammy can advise me on this. Thanks!
Many thanks for your concern and consideration for my son, positivepiggy
I do agree with you on the reason for this abnormal sleeping condition. He is exactly suffering from unable to transfer to central london, but not due to his ability. In the meantime, colleagues happens to be living only in nearby vicinity but not the same town. Actually he is with me now, back to HK for a few days attending a funeral service. Keep in touch.
I've been staying in uk for 6 years since I started my master course.
I was in exact situation when I graduated from my master course. Working in a small town called High Wycombe (around 40 mins train from London), which is not too bad. However, it was boring enough after work. I finally got another job in central London after 2 years time.
I can understand how he feels now.
Does he really like his career at the moment? You may think you don't know much about his professional area, that's how my mum thought.
However, you know him better than anyone else. If that is not a good environment for him, ask him to come back and start his career.
He maybe very determined to stay in the UK. And could not get a job in central london at the moment. Just hoping there are some colleagues are also from abroad and staying in the town. They can always hung out. I was lucky to have a HK and italian guy with me during my boring 2 years.
Anyway, I decided to come back hk for good after 6 years, I miss my family.
