I had a terrible experience here in Casear. Stayed 3 nites in July. We were upgraded to the 19th floor, no view at all. The room was so old comparing to the lobby and full of mould smell. The staff explained it was left by the mainlanders, but we didn't see any during our stay.
We went out at 9ish in the morning with make up room sign, but when we were back at 4ish in the afternoon carrying just-falling-asleep 2.5-year-old son, the housekeeping staff was just about to make up our room. I called the duty manager to send more staff which didnt help at all, they argued and switched on the vacummn cleaner, woke my son up. My son was cranky and screaming. I requested to change to another room to calm down my irritable son, they said it had to be reported from housekeeping staff to dean, to manager, to duty manager... We had to keep comforting our son right out of our room( the lobby was always crowded and noisy) for nearly an hour. Later they explained their priority was the checked-out rooms which sounded so fidiculous! Our last nite plan was ruined.
The staff in general was ok but the service standard was far less than 5-star standard, would say, 3-star standard, so dont expect too much! The only good thing about Casear seems to be the the location, but it adds no value coz the taxis in taipei are very clean, safe, and inexpensive which is more suitable for parents like us with our little ones!
Hope you good luck!
If staying at Caesar Park Hotel, where can I have breakfast (hotel breakfast is not included)? I checked from some books saying there is a Breeze center nearby with food court, but opens at 10am. I prefer somewhere earlier where I can eat as need to visit a lot of places.
Also my Mandarin isn't too good. Anyone can tell me how to pronounce Caesar Park in Mandarin? As I may travel by taxi sometimes for nearby locations.
Hotel Quote not so convenient as Caesar, need to walk 10 min to the station. However, it is a good and modern hotel even with coffee machine in each room.
In Taipei, most of the hotels are small and old. Though Caesar is 5 stars’ hotel, the facilities and environment is same as 3 stars’ in Hong Kong. Don’t expect 5 stars’ in Taipei as Bangkok. But for reasonable room rate and convenience, Caesar is a good choice.
If you prefer higher quality ones, only following hotels are 5 stars exactly,
- Regent, Sheraton, Grand Hyatt, Shangri-la Far East, W, Le-Meridien.
