I fried a 43-year-old Fillipino maid few months ago. She completed her 2-year contract in HK more than 10 years ago, then backed to the Philippines. Then worked in HK again and completed her contract (23 months) in a family where there were a full-time mother and a grandmother with sir and 2 children, one child is mentally handicapped. Then worked in another family for 2 month only. The agency - Hundred Years Employment Services in Mongkok told me that that Filipino fried by her mad employer. They said that house was 7000 feet, only 2 adults, no children with dogs, garden and she need to clean 2 cars. The reasons that maid was terminated because she forgot to feed dogs and the woman (her employer) was mad. When I asked the agency staff to give me the contact of her first job, i.e. the family with 2 children, the agency refused to give, its staff said some employer think that she already gave testimonial and will not answer any enquiries. My job is very common nature. When I interview that domestic helper, she said she liked the job, no problems. However, after she reported duty, her behaviour and attitude were very bad. I decided to terminate her after 1.5 month. Everyday, she set a posture to answered back severly and used their language (Tangaloe) to scold my children, used FISTS to treat them and showed she wanted to beat them. ” 佢甘有經驗” even maids without working experience asdomestic helpers in Hong Kong, their performance and attitude are much betterthan your terrible helper. Your Mrs Khan said her ex-employer was mad andfried her (only after 2-month). I am afraid she made her employersmad. I decided to terminate her in no more than 1.5 months. Toobad!
Your other staffmember (Gery) said “呢個工人煮野好食”, I do not knowwhether she really ate the food cooked by Myrna Orbino Ledda or not, or madeexaggerated comments. The fact is that she has very poor cooking skills,no food handling knowledge (put fresh and cooked food together or put fruits inthe same tray for fresh meat, etc. ). The worst was that she rejected tolearn.
I terminated herin the presence of security guards from our Estate Management Office and letothers see how she loves to answer back. The guards commented that whowould be the next unlucky employer.
Your domestic helper is swindler, she made use of myoffer (contract) to get double pay and deceive money from financeinstitute. I never employed such a bad domestic helper and got such worse experience with an agency whichtotally side on its clients (domestic helpers who help to earn dirty money bydoing harmful actions toemployers, families and children in Hong Kong, particularly in our case she was the only adult with children when employersnot at home).

My advice is not to employ a maid being terminated. It is unreasonable for employers to terminate domestic helpers if they have no special problems. We, as busy working mothers, need to waste money, valuable time to train up another helpers, particularly our poor children have to take care by new faces again and again.
