Nuclear ray radiation? If we are going to Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear plant, then you may expose to the radiation. To be exact, we are now concerning about radioactive material pollution to air, water, food, soil (food chain). Actually, I don't think it will have really big problem if we only go there for a few days even though we eat/ breathe the polluted air/ food etc. Therefore, its really ridiculous if someone said that one will be infertile or will give birth to an abnormal baby in the rest of her life after been there for few days. If it is the case, those who has no plan to get pregnant will be save to go there? How about those who need to go there for bussiness trip?
Actually, I agree with some sisters for the point that we need to know the risk of going to Fukushima surrounding area including Tokyo. If there is other choice, why should we push ourselves and our kids to expose to unnecessary radioactive material. Think twice before we make decision.

First of all, we will not get "infected" by "radiation". In fact, radiation is not a kind of bacteria/ virus.
You're right, the chance for getting abnormal baby is higher if someone has exposed to radiation. But, itstill depends on which type and what intensity of radiation that she has exposed. Also, it's not equal to infertilitly. The risk may not be permanent and she still has chance to get pregnant and giving birth to healthy babies.
By the way, I am neither saying that going to Tokyo is save, nor encouraging anyone to go to Tokyo. I just thnk that we need to analyse according to common sense when we come across this kind of rumor.

Maybe you can search more information for radiation infection. If anyone has the radiation infection, the chance for getting abnormal baby is very high and it may not be detected before some days after the baby is born...... therefore once confirmed for radiation infection, the doctor will suggest you not to have babies, and the radiation will not go away from your body, is it equal to unable to give birth, you can figure it out by yourself.
