1010 data plan for iPad is ~$298/mth. It's a separate SIM card for iPad with wifi + 3G. So I let my DH's iPad use this SIM. It does not have an accessible tel no (or may be has and I don't pay attention to it as I don't need it). But for Smartone (I used it before, it doesn't need any contract with you but 1010, 2 year contract), I'm sure that it comes with a no. And Smartone is cheaper though it doesn't allow real unlimited roaming service.

I'm using 1010 iPhone plan and so I share wifi through my iPhone for my iPad which is a wifi version. So, you can choose the model that suits your living style.

In your case, as you're not using iPhone and if you need to bring your iPad here and there very often, you may consider having a wifi + 3G version and join the data plan that suits you most (price, roaming need etc).

I bought it at the IFC apple store.

It depends if you're using iPhone or not to choose wifi or wifi+3G. If you're not using iPhone, better choose wifi+3G. The addition of the apple care plan will only allow you to extend the warranty period from 1 yr to 2 yr. It's up to you to add or not but from my experience, iPad is not that reliable even if you use it prudently.

And if you're using only in HK and no need to bring your iPad 2 elsewhere overseas, you can choose the cheapest iPad data plan, around $2xx/mth. But if you need roaming and use with Apps overseas, CSL offers the TRUE unlimited iPad data roaming plan that goes with the SIM.

Not necessaeily be the same. No free min and it's cheaper.....if you're using iPhone like me and can tether or sharing wifi with your iPad without additional charge, you can simply buy a wifi version like me now.

My first iPad was a wifi + 3G version. I have to pay some extra $2xx for the service. Convenient yet unnecessary for my case. So after I bought an iPad 2 for my DH, I gave him my SIM as he is not using iPhone. And after my first iPad passed away, I chose a wifi version iPad 2.
