I am not going to get a 陪月 as I feel that we have the experience to look after the newborn.
I want someone to look after my first born. So I have arranged a carer to come during the day to help out the domestic work and takes care of my first born.
Either my mum or my husband will cook the necessary things for the first month. My husband is a good cook, and has seen it before. So if my mum can't help, my husband will step in.
In relation to 產後進補廿八方, my Chinese doctor said it's not appropriate for everyone. I guess it sounds right, it depends on the person and how you gave birth.
I had complications after delivering my first born and my first month's menu was altered accordingly by the chinese doctor to suit my needs.
