They are coming back for a week to 10 days to see me and SIS registration. After that, they are going back SG to continue my boy\'s kinder.

I had been very upset abt the SG \"brain wash\" education to my husband last time.. But on the other hand, he got the same loyalty to me when I am slowly getting old.

my friends son went to ns last yr n was coping well.nowadays e ns is not like before.

NS and grow up environment is the main concern to my husband. He thinks the grow up environment define who you are. He doesn\'t wish to see our son to be grown up at a place \" not here, not there\". Well, I understand and can\'t change the current situation in HK..

Hope I can earn as much as I can for my retirement in SG or my husband changes his mind slowly

It must have hard on you. I cannot imagine being separated from my boy. Your boy is holding Singapore passport, so I guess he has to serve NS in Singapore. Your thoughts on this?

There are gives and takes.. I am thinking the same way as yours. But my husband is having different point of view.. I would rather to work hard and save as much as I can for my little boy than move myself there to eat up my savings.

Hope I can be recovered very soon and got energy to travel to see my son next month

I see. I share your views that there is no good reason for your family to relocate to Singapore. Your situation is pretty much the same as ours. My hubby and I have good jobs in Hong Kong, and like your husband, there are lesser opportunities for my husband's job field in Singapore. For me, it will be easier coz I can request to internal transfer to our Singapore office. Hacving said that, I think it is better for us to stay together as a family. I rather spend more money to send my boy to SIS, than to relocate back, even though personally I really miss Singapore a lot. Anyway all the best to you and I will be happy to see your family reunited in Hong Kong or Singapore, as long as 3 of you can be together, which is most important for the kid. Keep in touch!

Hi minirat,

My case is a little bit complicated.. I travelled to SG to see my son every 2 weeks - 1 month. I got very serious flu, cough and fever last time when I travelled to see my son.. Since then, my body condition become very weak. I then discussed with my husband to apply PN1 at SIS for our son. At least, I don\'t have to travel there frequently if he allows our son to study in HK. Finally, we got offer for PN1.. I believe my son is easier to get because of Singapore Citizenship.

I do hope my husband will decide to relocation back to HK because he had quite good job and income in HK.. But in SG, opportunities of his field is much lesser.. After several months, he is still looking for job there.. My main income is from HK/China and I can\'t foresee any business opportunities of my field there. I am still working and planning hard a little bit better way for myself and my little boy..

Are they relocating back to HK? I remember seeing the school bus route information from SIS website. Is it difficult for Singaporeans to get a spot in SIS now?

Care to share your experiences for the past half year? We might take similar route in future if I decided to relocate back to Singapore with my boy, whilst my husband will remain in HK to work.

Hi all, just small update of my family. My husband and son have stayed in SG for half year..I travelled there 5 times in 6 months..I applied PY1 at SIS for my son and he just got offer letter. Does anyone know any school bus for PY1 from East Kowloon?
