we found something really nice in santa monica too, with management fee >$1000/m, that's really too much as we will only go to enjoy the house 1-2months a year.
buying a condo near UCLA and renting it out seem a very good idea! but now we prefer buying a single family house first as we wanna use it for vacation. we are thinking about buying an apartment in manhattan for rent out as the rental return seems very satisfactory

yes, you are right, so we target another area now
I live in hk but I bought an older condo and did a complete renovation in Westwood area. Walk to UCLA and Westwood village. We love it there. We rent it out now! The rent is in high demand!
Lots of high rise condo building on willshire corridor are high end buildings with 24 bell man and concierge but HOA monthly fees are very high. 管理費。> 1000 USD a month. We called these service building! Some has valet parking too. You should find a west LA agent!
Korean lor
Many gated communities don\'t even have guards. If you are looking for good communities, I would not look at the areas that you addressed. The school districts suck there. Look into San Marino, Santa Monica, paladise verde. You should start by looking at the school districts... Those are areas that would be good for investments, pretty much like #41 in hong kong.
