It's quite far if you have kids or elders, as there's a lot of walks inside 動植物公園 too. If you park at Murray Building, you may go to Hong Kong Park too and it's also nice.
For Coda Plaza, it's not so horrible, at least much better than some parking in Yau Ma Tei / Mong Kok, and well lit. I saw some Land Rover and Alphard there, so it's OK as long as you are careful.
Both Citibank Plaza and Murray Building are good for Hong Kong Park only. They are not really near the Botanic Gardens where LZ wants to go.
Coda Plaza is the only carpark near the Botanic Gardens (just cross the foot bridge over the Cotton Tree Drive).
Yes, the car park is really dark in lighting. So, switch on the head lamp such that other drivers would notice your existence. The spiral and steepy pathway is really narrow. Do not allow yourself running with other car side-by-side. Always wait until you have a clear way up or down (floor by floor). For those used to that car park, it is the normal practice. I have parked there for every weekend because of the Kid's Gxxxx some years ago. Be patient is the key.
Don't park at coda plaza, dark and narrow! Murray Building is first choice, mon - fri, after 7 pm and Sat, Sun, PH, all day, @$8/ hour, I think.
Citibank Plaza is good, but @$20/hour.
