我媽(70+)剛驗到胰臟有個2.7CM的瘤, 屬初期, QE醫生話要割出來才驗是良/惡性, 才可決之後處理(要否電/化療之類), 問過一個私家醫生, 手術+醫院over 20萬......
想請問一下各位, 有無一d意見俾我or 醫生可以介紹, 我現在也六神無主........謝謝!

如果真係個幾月可以做手術,係公立黎講算快架啦!
私家手術都要 10萬,8 萬,如果你地比到,可以去私家做左手術先,touchwood 有咩手尾的話,再叫醫生寫紙去番公立跟lor!
但去私家睇醫生,再安排,都要 1,2 星期啦!

Have you consulted a private doc ?? Have your mom done any CT Scan ?? Where exactly is the tumar ?? Last time, my 99's one is close to main blood vessels and bile duct. 手術費要成40萬, 仁安. If you want to consult that professor (2nd opinion), call仁安微創中心劉允恰教授(中大).

坦白講, 胰臟腫瘤係唔等得的, 因通常發現比較遲. My 99's case is too ~~ The surgery was carried out just a few days after we discovered it.

Last time, ~ all the checking 都係得我陪佢做. 除咗超聲波外就係電腦掃描. If your mother is not admitted to hospital, 你哋最好自己搵醫生做. 因interpretation需時, 我哋等唔切就剩係攞咗條片俾教授親自interpret(as they are normally v busy and will go out of town very often ga ~~). 遲咗又要等幾日架......我都要'ei'教授's secretary俾我make appointment (outside normal office hours) ga ja ~~

我媽無買保險.........我妹只係話照到有個瘤, 要做手術割出來才知良性定惡性, 詳細未有在電話講, 亦唔知做左你指的CT SCAN 未(我唔識), 佢有提過係近大動脈.
想請問多一點點, 當時醫生費是多少? (我想計下醫院條數, 果個醫生指定要在養和做) 另你奶奶手術後復原如何?

我哋响沙田仁安做(因中大的教授通常唔係呢度就係威記㗎). 都係要割出來才知良性定惡性, my 99's is 良性(determined after surgery.........開頭都話係惡性㗎, 後來驗清潔先知係良性). So, it is very hard to tell. My 99 used to be very 精靈(人精)咁㗎. 75歲仲行得走得. CT Scan = 電腦掃描. Can be done at some private laboratory ga ~~ she just went to the GP she sees for years and he referred her to that lab lor ~~ it turns out to be the doc running the lab is a close friend of the professor we consulted @ 仁安.

My 99's tumor is v v v v close to 大動脈. According to the professor, if it is closer by 1mm.....冇得做添.

My advise is to find a private doc and do a scan to see how serious it is........and maybe get back to Gov't hospital to see if they can schedule the operation earlier.......if not, you may need to see if you can afford to do it @ HKSH.............

Another way is to see if you can use 數碼刀 at HK Adventist Hospital (港安 ??) at Stubbs Road.......at the surgery will involve cutting vertically from stomach down to ~ bikini位 as you know pancreas is hide inside the body ga ma ~~

Not at all ~~

My 99 had minor stroke during the surgery (we found out later) ~~ after consulting another 老人科doc, she has recovered fully.

The CT Scan is just ~$4000 including the reporting thing.

My view is :
It is quicker to schedule the surgery @ private hospital (as long as the doc is available) but then every other things are surcharge to the basic charge............since there will be ~ 5 駁口(either blood vessels or intestine) after the surgery, the condition at the 1st few days right after the surgery is critical to the recovery of the patient. My 99 had fever after the surgery, it turns out to be some '朧' at her 腹腔. We need to consult the in-house內科to find this out and solve it ~~ so finally it costs so much. This situation is best resolved in Govt hospital, I guess, particularly those medical school hospital (QM+PoW) as I believe that they will treat this (quite uncommon as said, cancer with pancreas is really killing and normally can't do operation ga) special and would have many specialist professor + students would see see ma ~~

Both have pros and cons...........do the scan ASAP is 上策 ~

我有個同事試過, 佢話個時醫生同佢講, 胰臟腫瘤十居其九都係惡性, 佢個時好彩係良性, 佢個陣大概30+歲, 已經唔駛做電療, 做完都好似死過番生咁. 而家都仲有後遺症. 佢係私家做, 成10年前啦, 個陣手術都幾十萬, 仲未計之後失眠, 要睇精神科. 佢而家d膽汁放左去個胃度. 有時貪食, 個胃會忽然咁痛, 痛到面青口唇白, 我個次差d幫佢叫白車, 好彩痛左一陣冇事. 但我見佢個種痛真係生仔差唔多.

劉允恰教授(中大) is expert in 肝膽胰 and try to make appointment with him as second opioion ASAP since 胰臟cancer is very aggressive.

If you can change hospital, pls don't go to QEH for OT. The best hospital for 肝膽胰 is QMH and try to make appointment in QMH private clinic with Professor 范上達.

If you decide to do OT in private hospital, try Dr just come from Hospital Authority(HA) since they have to do a lot of OT in HA and they become expert.
