Hi justjust,

1. Yes, Kevin loves fried rice very much and he adapts the Thai food well. Of course I will not give him spicy food to eat.

2. He always nap during riding, even in elephant trekking.

3. Think Fatasea is good for child but not as good for adults. Just personally thoughts, it's a bit boring. But the dinner there is very very good and the dinning hall is very grand. If you do not want to have dinner at Fantasea, you may choose to pay for the show only.

4. Except for the delay, OX is unexpectedly good in landing. I think the pilot of OX is even better than CX.

5. I rent a car from the free-lancer except the way back to Phuket airport on the last day of my tour

Thank you so much!! We really have a great time in Phuket!! :-P :-P

Weather at Phuket now is very unstable and the rains all the time and sometimes it is really heavy, especially in morning times.

Even sometimes it stops raining, it is still very cloudly and I seldom see the sun.

I did not take any dinner at Promthep Cape because the tour guide said the restaurant is dirty and not advisable to dine there.

btw, I cannot see the beautiful sunset because it was very cloudy. May be next time la.

I have hired Tim for my travel to Patong. He was quite good but he did not show up on the day I planned to Phuket Town. So I called Tum afterwards. But Tum was also not available and so he found another driver and one tour guide to serve me.

Very bad experience on that tour guide and driver. I promised to pay Bht 700 for the ride before (to both Phuket Town and Prompthe Cape), but when we came back to hotel from Phuket Town by the end of the day, they requested Bht 500 more because he said this was for the extra ride to Promthep Cape. Finally I pay them Bht 950 for final settlement. What a dishonest person!!! :evil: :evil:

And also during the journey, the tour guide and driver chat all the times and very noisy.

They frequently ask if I wanna go to the jewel shop and other souvenir shop....

Their English is also not good and sometimes misunderstand my meaning.

One example is that I ask them to drive to 7-Eleven to buy some drinks, and the ask me is it 7 o' clock something :cry: :cry:

Please pass the message to your friend that do not call Tum next time.

We're planning to go end of this Sept. I was about to ask for a name of a good tax driver. Would you please kindly advise which one is good now?

Btw, this is my second time to Phuket, my last trip was pretty bad, it rained a lot. We didn't go anywhere, except the Zoo, Ocean shopping center, Fantasea & we stayed at Dusit.

I was thinking of staying at Evason this time, so that it's easier for us to feed coral fishes. Unfortunately, I found out there's curtain above each bed, I guess it's for the mosquitoes. I'm worrying my naughty 2.5 yrs old boy will stand on the bed & pull it. Do you know if it's strong or it's very fragile hanging from the ceiling?

I just have 2 taxi driver phone, but sounds from kitty that 'Tin' & 'Tum' not too good, so I don't want to recommend for BK' mum. Btw, u can go to

We just confirmed the OX tickets to Phuket on 9/29 to 10/3 and will stay at Dusit Laguna by Alan. My son will have one day absent from SKH. Could you tell me where and when did you get the air tickets from Alan, he advised me that I can only get the air tickets at the airport in the morning of 9/29.
Do you think it is workable or not ?

I believe my trip will be more or less as same as yours trip. As per your experience and your comment, do you suggest us to have dinner at Fantasea or watch the show only ?

How's your son's feeling of the Island Safari ? Was he be excited ?

We're planning to go Phuket during the same period ar, I guess same flight too, if the sales person from 博康 will do his job well. Do you mind telling me how much you pay for? I'll pay him the deposite on Monday. He said seats are still available for the flights.

Dusit is a good choice. I had the Italian food at Dusit, I love their bread + dips, also the mushroom soup. Btw, their pasta was pretty good too. If I cannot get Evason confirm, I might go back to Laguna area too.

Thanks so much! I emailed the hotel for 2 days already. They still didn't reply. I didn't know what to do. Btw, what about the bar that's hanging the curtain, do you think my boy can easily reach it on the bed? Sorry that I worry so much, it's because my boy is really really naugthy.

I booked the package is $3099 for adult and $1799 for my son. My agent said the flight are really full.

I've just come back from Phuket yesterday. I've got so much information from you before, so I love to share my experience here.

Flight: OX
Hotel: Holiday Inn Busakorn Wing
Members: 2 adults & 2 nine years old boys

Day 1 (24/8): Same to Kittylock. Ox delayed and departed till 6pm and reached Phuket airport at 8:30pm in Thailand time. We rented a car 550bht to hotel and dinner in Patong McDonald (kids strongly requested). Heavy rain at midnight.

Day 2 (25/8): Light rain in the early morning and stopped at 7am. Because we lived in ground floor room, so kids got up early and walked direct to the jacuzzis and swimming pool through our balcony. It was really convenient and wonderful. They were very happy.
After breakfast, we joined a half day tour (11:30am-5pm) to Khai island. We all enjoyed it very much.
Dinner in a Patong Italian restaurant (which recommend by 3 Spainish ladies met at the island tour). The food was very delicious. Our kids ate a lot especially the pizzas. The weather today quiet well, just had a light rain for minutes and without disturb us.

Day 3 (26/8):Whole day sunny. We joined James Bond Canoe whole day tour(8am-6pm). We've got a great fun! But afterward one of my kids got a fever after canoeing. After consulted a doctor and took medicines, his fever was reducing. So we only had room service for dinner at hotel.

Day 4 (27/8): My kid felt good in the morning, the fever was disappeared and he was recovered very soon and played as normal. So we went shopping at Pornthip(a food shop), Lotus, big C and a jewelry shop(which requested by the van driver, cause we rented a van for shopping 5 hrs). Dinner at hotel Seafood buffet. It was quite yummy. Today was sunny too.

Day 5 (28/8):Rent a hotel private car to airport at 8:30am. Arrived HK at 4pm too.

Although my kid got sick here, I think we had a great holiday in Phuket.

Nice to know u and sharing yr trip!
Holiday Inn Busakorn Wing-pool access is great, but as I know they not allow kids(under 12) stays this type of room(for safety)????? It's really good for jump into the pool directly from yr balcony, but also stays at G/F is to see and to been seen .
Maybe yr son love the sea canoe so much, so"愛到發燒" qar. just joke

Yes! I loved the sea (cave) canoe so much(3 times) and highly recommend for friends. yr kids are brave enough for explore the cave

My 2 sons (11 & 18) still not play this game becos' of the monsoon, the weather(current and wave) not
suitable to visit the cave, so pity :cry: But sure that I will go with them again in a good time.
Not hearing from u to try the local thai food har......
How much u hire the taxi for city tour? Try to tell us more about Phuket update, I know there are some BK mums will visit Phuket on coming sept....

Sure we did stay in Holiday Inn Busakorn Wing G/F pool access room, and I made the booking by E-mail. The staffs of hotel was very helpful and polite. I highly recommend if someone wants to locate there.

Although our kids were easy access to the jacuzzis pool, but I don't think it is dangerous. Because the depth of the pool just reached their waists and they can swim.
It was really less little privacy, but I think it's doesn't matter cause we did ususally outting for tours in day time. Even not, in fact, mostly only our kids used the jacuzzis in those days. I think maybe the pool is small and not deep enough for adults, so they often swam in the large swimming pool. Especially we could have a morning dip and early evening swim, it seems like as our own pool. Very fantastic!

Really, we met the good weather luckily so we could enjoy canoeing. U did canoe 3 times? Have u explored into the bat cave? How did u feel? I was not really enjoy becaue of the bad smell and the cave was very dark, quite terrible! Except this, it was so great for my family. I hope yr sons can enjoy this event soon.
Next time I hope to try PP island, islands surrounding and mountain bike riding.
I hadn't try thai food because my hubby and kids don't like spicy food and no time gar! But I had try yr lime shake, taste fresh and good. My hubby and I like it very much! Thank you!

Because of my kid, I decided to go shopping in last minute, so I just hired a 10 seated van outside hotel for city tour, it actually costed 400bht for 4 hrs but finally we did shopping 5 hrs, so I gave him total 500bht. In fact, I wanted shopping in Lotus and big C only, but the driver persuaded us by leaflets(because he couldn't speak English) to a jewelry and a food shop. He said if we go, he could get stamps and we didn't need to buy anything, only went inside and had a look. So we did so.

Ar! If someson wants to exchange money in Phuket, I suggest she can try the exchange shop which is located at the left hand side of Holiday Inn Main Wing exit(to Patong beach exit). If u walk along the left hand side, then u cross a road, there is a little ocean centre and a minimart, the exchange shop is next to them. I did the rate was @5.25

My sis just told me there was a bomb again in Thailand southern area 2 days ago. Actually, we were going to Phuket in early May, unfortunately, a few BK mommies told me a similar accident, then we cancelled everything & wasted $7,000. This time, we're worrying about that again.
