May I know what is the size of your plastic mats? Is it 2 feet * 2 feet? How many pieces do you have?

Cafe Musical told me that their dance floor is about 300 sq. feet. So, I guess we could make a 12 feet (6 pieces of 2 feet size) * 12 feet (6 pieces of 2 feet size) plastic mats, i.e. 6*6=36 pieces. What do you think?

I think we could consider cutting: 誰是誰B競猜遊戲 and 最古靈精怪相比賽, as these 2 games can be played offline, they do not need to hold at the party, we can have them anytime via web. If we cut these 2 programmes, the run-down can be something like this:

三小時活動概要:
2:30-2:45pm (15min) - 接待處簽名報到及提取(1)人名牌(2)影相券(3)贊助禮品(4)退回餘款(*如有) (5)投票paper
2:45-3:15pm (30min) - 遊戲時間: 集體遊戲, 跳舞

Hahahah.... I am starting to think about the coming 1歲生日會, I think it will be more fun as the BBs are much bigger and know how to crawl and maybe even walk. We could have the crawling competition (can they sing? Can we have a singing contest??? ?-( ?-( ) Also, I am thinking of the "Ho Fa" August function at Wan Chai exhibition center, nearly all of us missed the one held in last year as we were just delivered or about to deliver. This year, we should all be able to join. Really looking forward to that... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

All,

Checked with Cafe Musical, they said 2.5-3 yrs old will consume food, so, their headcount is included. So, the basic rule of thumb is: "Hand-carry and drink milk" BBs will not count, kids and adult will count, and need to pay for the buffet fee.

BTW, we need to have a receptionist in our committee member group as well... I will update the plan later on to reflect this.

if u send yr account no by PM to each mom, it will be time consuming and difficult to locate the user name.

maybe 2 suggestions for yr ref:

1. post the a/c no here (but maybe privacy problem and not sure any risk)
2. ask the sign-up mama to pm u the email address and also bk user name, so that in future, it is easy to communicate to all mama in 1 email.

派對照片
Plan Description: 邀請5-6位攝影機幫手, 每個家庭出示”影相券”後, 會有8-10分鐘任影時段。 若以全部家庭計算此項安排需約2小時, 餘下1小時就用作集體合照
及攝影師進餐時段。 所有原大少的相片將於生日會結束後上載到ftpserver。 If we have 5 camera-men, the buffet cost for them is about $55*5=275. If we have 100 participants, we could share this cost, and each will need to pay $275/100 = $2.75 extra for the photo service. Is it OK with all mums?

安排集體遊戲或跳舞項目
Plan Description:
- I am asking my friend, who has joined a 6-month play group, to share us what kind of games can be played with 6 months
- Group Dance - We could plan some dancing musics and do the dancing with babies, e.g. Head-Shoulder-Knees-and-Toes

誰是誰B競猜遊戲
Plan Description: 請媽咪先提供BB清晰大頭照片一張給nn, nn會將相片輯成一張有20-25對眼睛及一張有20-25個咀的相片, 此二張合成相片會於生日會前2星期張貼出來, 每個家庭均可参與競猜及必須在27/2或以前將競猜答案pm給nn。 正確答案將於生日會當天公佈, 勝出者可得玩具禮品1份, 若有多于2-3位勝出者(同分數的)將以抽籤決定。

最古靈精怪相比賽
Plan Description: Each mum will send 1 photo of BB for participating the 最古靈精怪相比賽. Once we receive the photos, the photos will be scanned and posted onto imagestation for mums to view beforehand. The photos will be stuck onto a whiteboard that will be setup at the cafe. Each person will be given a sticker at the reception, and you could use the sticker to VOTE for the photo that you think is 最古靈精怪. We will count the no. of stickers at middle of the party to determine who is the winner.

<全場最??>選舉
Plan Description: We will define 5 全場最?? for 選舉 and announce the themes at the beginning of the party. We will distribute 5 colored voting papers to mums/dads at reception at the beginning. We will setup 5 boxes putting at the stage for people to vote for the 5 themes. The voting deadline is around 3:35pm, and we will count the votes from 3:35-3:55pm. At 3:55pm, we will announce the winners of the 5 themes and ask the winning BBs to come to the stage for a "cat-walk".

Yes, thanks. I suggest from now onwards, all new registration will go to the waiting list. Once we finalize how to collect the money and set a deadline for transferring the money, if any mum does not transfer the money before the deadline or decides to cancel the registration, we could release the seat to the waiting list mums. Sorry for keeping you mums waiting for my update... since I have some family matter to take care of tomorrow, I have cancelled the 小學同學聚會... :-( :-( In order to quickly finalize the venue, I am thinking of going to the cafe during lunch time on Monday (Jan 3), will then post the info here on Monday afternoon.

In order to determine the amount to collect from each participant, please kindly review the drafted budget plan I have posted earlier and let me know if I have missed anything or under-estimated/over-estimated any item. Thanks.

Unfortunately, according to Mr Fong of Cafe Musical, only hand-carry babies do not need to be counted. I will further checked with Mr. Fong to see whether the cutting line can be set as "below 3yr old", as they cannot consume much food... will try my best to see whether Mr Fong could allow us to do so...

Yes, the party fee will be the same for kids and adults. If Mr Fong allows us to set the cutting line to "below 3 yr old". we could then waive the fee for those below 3 yr old. But this cannot be confirmed now.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think option 2 is possible. But I think I will still use BK forum as the primary communication channel and use email as the supplementary channel, since this could increase the transparency of the whole planning stage, and all mums can help to provide comments and advices (e.g. sometimes, I might make some mistakes and mis-calculate certain item; if I post the info here and ask the mums to help to review, we could avoid some un-necessary/careless mistakes).

生日蛋糕
Plan Description: 預計須要8個8”-10”大的生日蛋糕, 分開8組, 每組12位大人。請懂得做蛋糕的媽咪幫手。

派對照片
Plan Description: 邀請5-6位攝影機幫手, 每個家庭出示”影相券”後, 會有8-10分鐘任影時段。 若以全部家庭計算此項安排需約2小時, 餘下1小時就用作集體合照
及攝影師進餐時段。 所有原大少的相片將於生日會結束後上載到ftpserver。 If we have 5 camera-men, the buffet cost for them is about $55*5=275. If we have 100 participants, we could share this cost, and each will need to pay $275/100 = $2.75 extra for the photo service. Is it OK with all mums?

安排集體遊戲或跳舞項目
Plan Description:
- I am asking my friend, who has joined a 6-month play group, to share us what kind of games can be played with 6 months
- Group Dance - We could plan some dancing musics and do the dancing with babies, e.g. Head-Shoulder-Knees-and-Toes

<全場最??>選舉
Plan Description: We will define 3個 全場最?? for 選舉 and announce the themes at the beginning of the party. We will distribute 3 colored voting papers to mums/dads at reception at the beginning. We will setup 3 boxes putting at the stage for people to vote for the 3 themes. The voting deadline is around 3:45pm, and we will count the votes from 3:45-4:00pm. At 4:00pm, we will announce the winners of the 3 themes and ask the winning BBs to come to the stage for a "cat-walk".

Note - Cafe Musical told me that their dance floor is about 300 sq. feet. So, I guess we could make a 12 feet (6 pieces of 2 feet size) * 12 feet (6 pieces of 2 feet size) plastic mats, i.e. 6*6=36 pieces. We need mums to lend us the mats and some other mums to help to pick up and clean the mats before the party
