I am also planning to take the bus depart at 14:35 from Alpensia, and my flight will depart to HK at 20:00. Hope the traffic will be smooth......

I understand from InterContinental that they offer limousine transfer service between Incheon Airport and the hotel. One way for each of standard car, van and mini bus is KRW350,000, KRW400,000 and KRW400,000, respectively.

I further got fee quotes from International Taxi as KRW270,000 to KRW300,000 for general taxi and >KRW300,000 for bigger taxi.

I am checking the chauffeur drive services form Avis and Kumhorent. Their fee quotes are strange: 10 hours (200 miles) for KRW293,000. I am following up with them on their clarification regarding whether that means I have to book them for 10 hours or they will treat the booking as a 10 hour deal given the cross province route.

Thank you for your information. Where can you get quotation from Taxi?

Pls share more information if you confirm with Avis & Kumhorent. I tried to find the rental car news from Avis web-site, it is very difficult to get quote from that.

I have not yet received any replies from Avis nor Kumhorent.

I have also considered the alternative of renting a car from Avis. However, I have not tried snowland driving before. So, I have hesitation on this.

If you are always driving in Hong Kong, there is NO problem in snowland driving. My hb tried a few time snowland driving in Japan, and no problem at all. Some points need to be concern, not rent small car such as 1300cc, try rent 2000 cc with 4 wheels drive. Not try to over speed and heater should be turn on for front glass.

Hi all, some reply by the Alpensia hotel to share:

"For the shuttle bus from Seoul to Alpensia Resort, booking is necessary. (Reservation: 82 2 2201 7710)
For the shuttle bus from Alpensia to Incheon Airport, we regret to inform that, the shuttle bus is running by outsourcing company and they don't take reservation in advance.

Your booking is not including breakfast.
Breakfast charge: Adult KRW 29,000, Child age 4-12 14,500won, Child age below 4 can enjoy free."

If there is no free shuttle bus going to Alpensia this year, I need to call the above number to reserve seats for the transfer. Anyone know if they they can speak English in the reservation hotline?

However, will U go to Alpensia from Incheon? There was NO free shuttle bus from Incheon to Alpensia last year, and it was free shuttle from Seoul.

I have ask for reservation from Alpensia hotel to Incheon and any free shettle bus running from Seoul to Aplensia? Let's share later.

hi bbeasy25, I'll go to Alpensia from Seoul instead of the airport. So if there is free shuttle bus this winter, I'll join them.

I'd checked for the bus information again and the reply is :
"Concerning your inquiry about shuttle bus to Alpensia,
we've contacted with them and they said that you can reserve seats for the
shuttle bus from 12th to 23th of December(before 5pm).
You can make a reservation in english over the phone.

Hotel replied me as below:
We regret to inform that the bus schedule for December is not updated yet for both (Incheon - Alpensia, Seoul - Alpensia)

Due to the ski slope will be opened on 19th Nov, we expect the schedule will be updated at least on 18th Nov.

So that we are just waiting!!

I think if it just a few day later, no such big deal on snow volume. No need to pay extra $2000. From my experience, Christmas is not very good time to ski, the better season is starting from mid of Jan.
