yes, new house is better but now the prices in highest point....you know there are new construction site near oakview(far away form markham) and the prices in cad$480,000 only 2000sqft. Townhouse almost near cad$360,000!!!! :cry:

yes, the market price in my area rise at least 10%, we bought our house in 2003 for $350K only 1700 sq ft, and moved in 2004. and now it goes up to $400K lor.
do you mean Oakville? in the west, people saying missasagua, oakville & burlington, market price jet up over 20%. also, you might be prepared less chinese there..
if you are preparing to the west, have you thought about going north? newmarket, Aroura? or east, pickering/Ajax?

newmarket is ok...but others are far away for living there. my 99 will yell on this coz she cant see granddaughter and grandson as easy as. you know she may happy if we can live next of her...but couldnt, i will try to search more in new market...hope the prices we can afford, you know i really dun like to live with my husband's family, so annoying!!!

Hi Shanjun - I seldom buy Chinese newspaper because they are expensive. As I know, singtao, mingpao and some taiwan newspapers, you can get them from Chinatown. For Singtao, you can buy them from Safeway, Superstore gas bar, in (NW)Edgemont Petrecanada, or Sandstone drug stores. I usually read chinese newspapers online, they are the same because there are not so many pages when compared to those at Toronto or Vancouver.
tazmanic - yes, it is odd to have snowfall so early as environment canada also says that, & tomorrow will back to normal temperature, daytime high 12. Actually last year we didn't have much snow, my son didn't even need winter boots. So, you can imagine how the weather is changing in these years.
sorry to hear your car broke down, so everything o.k.? we have snow furry last week... but this week is o.k. - not cold but just a bit chilling in the morning and night time.
