For throwing away the pumped milk, it's because of the storage problem, (i) the fridge in the hotel is not cold enough to keep the milk fresh, also, (ii) it usually takes a few hours to go to the airport from the hotel, then plus the commute time on the plane, plus another 2 hours from airport to my home, I usually don't have the ice-bag with me during the trip, so, I cannot keep the milk at below 4-degree for this route.
Alicia usually has only 1/4 ro 1/3 of the milk from BF during the day when I am in HK. You are very good for keeping it at 1/2!! During the days when I am out of town, she is 100% formula.
Supply will drop when there is pressure (e.g. from work) and if we pump instead of letting BB sucks. Take it easy, life will just be better if we think this way :wink: :wink: As long as we keep BF, we always have the chance to train ourselves to supply more at the end, it is just a matter of demand and supply

Regarding 半歲生日party, I learned from BK's 2004-3月媽咪會 that we could ask some BB product companies to give us free gifts and samples. What I know is:
(1) we need to accumulate enough people to join the party, i think the size like today's party is already enough
(2) we need to then contact the companies and explain to them that our party is a non-money-making one, and many mums are interested in getting samples from them for trials
(3) arrange pick up from the companies to get the gifts/samples
Any idea? If we plan to have the 半歲生日party at around Jan/Feb, we need to start organizing it. If you think getting samples/free gifts is a good idea, I will contact the 3月媽咪會 半歲生日party organizer to see whether she could share with us the info.
For place to have the party, I'd suggest a club house from the apartment complex (usually the rental price is lower), and we could bring along with us the plastic 地墊 such that all BBs can sit on it. For 3月媽咪會, since they all purchased similar size plastic 地墊, so, by bringing a few pieces by each mum, they got a quite large area for everyone to sit on it.

Thanks a lot for yr care. touch wood, my first "journey" with son is very smooth, but when we returned home, the bus driver is quite inconsiderate to park the bus far away from the 石"薄" and my son cried on the way, luckily I got the 秘密武器 - 奶咀.
