Dear Hihopes,
Yes, I remember! To answer your questions:
1. Normal
2. Sometimes the no. of follicles may differ, but only by a few. And please note that the number of follicles may not always be equivalent to the number of mature eggs. Variation exists due to the ultrasound scan, follicle growth, retrieval efficiency, and intrinsic egg factor.
3. If sperm concentration and motility are both good, some labs may invest half of your eggs in IVF and half in ICSI. I explained the reason a few posts ago (#2014). You may check with your lab, and decide if you want all eggs to get ICSI.
Hi cutecutetown ,
I did ET today. Due to my poor ovarian reserve, 4 fertilized by ICSI, 3 by natural.
However, all have 碎片。 only one embryo has a grade of 5A-, others no comment.
Is it poor results? How\'s 碎片affect my success ?

What day of embryo development did you get your ET on?

Wondering is it most of the day 3 8 cells with early cleveage characteristics? From you point of view, is it early cleveage one priority selected for transfer?

Not all day 3 8-cell embryos had early cleavage; early cleavage is a good indicator and one priority

Thanks for your advise few days ago! I really appreciate your help. I have another couple of questions:
1. Doctor only found 3 follicles growing and now on day 10, the sizes are 16, 11 and 10cm. He said I have a weak ovarian function. If the number of follicles are low, does that mean I should expect the quality of eggs to be low as well? Or I could still get good quality eggs even with low volume production?
2. I got blood tests done yesterday and today. The nurse said the tests reflect at what stage my eggs are in their development. Do the tests also indicate the quality of my follicles at this stage?
Dear Hihopes,
1) You probably cannot expect the egg quality to be too good; this is my guess only based on your day2 FSH, ovarian response to the hormones you received, and the growing speed of your follicles.
2) There are by far no test for egg quality. Egg quality can only be assessed, in the context of IVF, when an egg is retrieved from its follicle.
