FUNNY thing to share..
last night, Amanda said.. she wanna show us what she learnt from ballet class..
as I did not look at her.. I only hear.. someone buncing on the floor like elephant steps on the floor... and Amanda keeps saying 揸 cab, 督督督督督督督督... (like 揸汁..督督督督督督督-->教整檸檬茶???)
Fat bear was laughing madly and asked me to turn around..
I saw, Amanda was doing the basic step on ballet
when she shifts from side to side, she said Cha, then she claps her hands, she said clap.. then when she steps on the same spot, she said 督督督督督督督督..
Fat bear said.. after 6 months on ballet class... pay over $1000.. that is what Amanda learnt... dances like an elephant in living room.. haha
she was so enjoy.. we are so happy.. and we kiss each other and laugh together..
We made the right decision to let her to go for the ballet class..

That's so funny :loveliness: Last time I saw Amanda dancing on the princess dancing pad and she was dacing very softly like swan dance..how come all a sudden becomes elephant dance haha. Amanda enjoyed it that's something money can't buy, so right decision.

amanda is just so cute when u described how she danced!

i wish i had a girl so that i could send her to the dancing class too. however, i don't think we plan to have any more kids as both of us can barely handle one kid.

hum... although, it is really tough to have children, but no regret, to see them smile everyday.. to see them being silly everyday.. Life is short, I don't want Amanda to be alone with no back up when we passed away.. in US.. she got no body.. if We were in hk.. never been here.. I may choose to have 1 child.. because her will have her cousins to keep company with her.. but in US.. she doesn't.

completely understood what u meant ... actually sean also doesn't have any cousins in here, and sometimes i feel a little guilty that we don't have to have any siblings for him.
well ... maybe both my husband are i don't know how to "teach" kids, and i always said we both are not suitable to have kids. maybe i'm kinda selfish ...
so, amanda is really lucky to have u as her mom ...

Certainly, it is cool to have 1 child.. as you guys can travel with sean with no problem.. since we have 2 children.. I have never gone too far.. because I am not so sure Gabriel will tolerate well..

actually we haven't travelled to anywhere (except for a couple important trips to HK) since i gave birth. we used to travel a lot (for both business and vacations). but now even my husband is very reluctnat to dine out with sean, as he's not interested to eat and always wanna go out to
"八吓" . unless he wanna impress someone whom he thinks s/he is VIP, his table manner is just so embarrassed.
so, how come we handle one more kid lei?!
i almost wanted to invite the super-nanny to come to our place to "rescue" me ....

not just you.. me and fat bear used to travel a lot as well, even when we had Amanda.. we have never stopped travelling.. as she is a travel- friendly baby.. however, since we had Gabriel.. we hesitated.. He is a ezcema baby.. I don't dare to sleep outside.. because of his skin condition.. like this time.. 年初一, we went to 99's home.. Gabriel' skin broken down (even arms and legs).. he was seen by peds (because too severe.. ) but after 8 days.. still not under control by MD prescription.. only spend a day at 99's home (too dirty, and with a dog).. cause so much trouble..
I don't think that I can bring him out for days.. unless I bring the bed lining, vacuum cleaner and everything with us
Cruise may be the only option.. as Gabriel is too young..
Dine out.. ha ha.. Jayne just asked us to dine out next monday night and we refused la.. Gabriel' bed time is 7:30pm.. Amanda normally gets fuzzy from 8:30-9pm.. how can we dine out.. that will be a mess.. also.. have to get 2 children in the car and get them out.. settle them in resturant.. but not all resturants are family friendly.. parking is a problem because it is cold outside.. *sign*.. I wish to eat outside as well.. but.. I really don't wanna go with Amanda and Gabriel.. however, if I have to go without them.. I won't able to eat because I miss them.. *sigh*.. I guess.. you will know.. my feeling..right?

completely understood Gabriel's situation, coz sean's been an eczema kid since he's a few months old (til now).
last time when we went to see a house which was next to a hill and surrounded by the trees, he scratched his arms and legs right away after he'd stayed in the house for around 10 mins only. becoz he's severely allergic to certain trees and grass. since he's completely an outdoor person, he still has eczema most of the times. really don't know what to do ... and that makes it part of the toughest parts of taking care of him.

We have the same pain. Spencer is a eczema baby and he can scratch like crazy when he's hot, fussy and I found that dust really irritate him. When we bought him to my 99's home, his faces turn red easily since the carpet in my 99's home is very "old". Even though they vaccum it, I don't think that it's clean. Now, the daycare he goes in weekday is also well-carpeted and it makes him being so itchy too. For Amanda, she will becomes fussy in the evening. Every night after 5pm, she'll expect to see me and want me to hold her. I cannot even have time to sit down for a quiet dinner. She cries even in my mom's home. So, nowaday, we can only stay home at night. I think that not until she turns 1 years old that we may not be able to go out for dinner. Before she bornt, we used to go to friends' homes for dinner and playnight for Spencer on Friday. The farest we can go now is just a trip to Target or Costco for shopping.

Dust is killing me as well.. as I am allergic to dust, same as Gabriel..
I hate dust.. even cold air.. I got very bad rhinitis and sinusitis.. sometimes, when friends come and visit me.. if they did not take off the jacket at walk in basement, and I walk pass them... I will sneeze whole day long..
I itch my skin, Gabriel itch his skin.. after CNY (came back from 99's home).. I took some benadyl.. as per MD ordered and breast fed Gabriel.. at night, he slept a bit better.. as some meds gone thru BF to him.. but he still get so mad some times.. when his face hurts, dry and itchiness...
poor boy.. at night, after I wash his face, put some vaseline on his face for protection..
lotion, cream, vaseline nonstop..
medication when condition worsen..
we try our best.. but condition gets worse on and off..
we may plan to bring him to see dematologist later on.

有冇試過"高溫蒸氣消毒機"? 係裝D水有條野噴D蒸氣出來, 可以清潔地毯, 窗帘, 浴室, 廚房, 爐頭... 我為用過, 不過睇D介紹好似OK.

initially i thought my boy is allergic to dust-mite too but now i still not sure. we have carpets all over our house. and per the last couple of the skin tests, it showed that he's not allergic to dust-mite and any food items but certain trees and grass. those trees are not most popular kinds in northern california. so there seems nothing much we can do as long as we live in california.

for our carpet at home, i think it might kinda old too coz it's been abt 12 yrs since my husband bought the house. we thought abt having new carpet or hardwood floor, but then we were too lazy to have it done. i thought it's not easy when we still live in the house. so last year, we spent almost $500 doing the carpet deep-cleaning. however, it still seemed not help much. so i'm not sure if my boy is allergic to dust-mite or not.

i thought we just wasted our time to take him to see the dermatologists except u really need the prescription for the stronger steroid cream. i found the California Baby cream (natural) and David's cream (slightly antiseptic but non-steriod) help when the eczema rash is still not too severe. CA cream is only available online (at amazon) and at the local Whole Food store. and the David's cream is only available online and shipped from Australia. both are kinda expensive - CA cream abt $12 for 2 oz. David's cream abt $75 (+ $5 shipping) for 200g.
