I'm fine and so as Carina. My mom and my sister-in-law will be here for 2.5 weeks. I think I will need to drive my sister-in-law (and of course with my mom too) around to get baby stuffs back to HK.

Do you "have to" go back to work? I'm thinking to work too, but since Carina is my 1st bb, I'm afraid I will miss something during her growth. Before, my husband and I thought of having 2 bbs, but now we only want one, that makes me think twice about working..... when do you think I should start working?

Thanks for your advice. Yeah, I don’t think we will go to Toronto with Josh at this moment. We worry if something happen to him on our way, we may not able to find somebody to help. I think we will try some short trip first and see how he likes it. (Learning to be more child oriented la )

Your food allergy story is so scary. My husband is lactose intolerance so he can’t really drink the regular milk. I just hope that won’t be passed to Josh. (We just realize we have passed some bad things to him like my husband’s eye and skin, my nose and short temper…)

It’s so good that your parents can stay with you for so long. My parents just stayed with me for a month (actually only 2 weeks because they arrived 2 weeks earlier before Josh was born). Even though my 99 came afterward and stayed for another month, it’s different than getting help from your own mom. You know, my mother took care of all the meals and housework and I can concentrate on taking care of Josh and getting some rest. It’s so important that you can get some help as you will feel so tired after delivery and you need some time to recover too. Anyway, enjoy their company. I believe they will take very good care of you.

Hello! Hello! Thanks for your sharing and encouragement. Sometimes I feel so lucky that I can be a stay home mom and take care of Josh myself. But sometimes I just miss my old days especially when my friends and old colleagues talking about their jobs, their boss, all the fun and challenge they have at work. You know, it kind of bothering me. Suddenly my world just become BB and me and I am a totally C9. Anyway, I know I got my treasure, I just need sometimes to adjust myself la.

Dear all moms,

I need some advice from you. Josh is sleeping in the same room with me and I am thinking to move him to another room. But my husband didn’t really want to do that because he thinks staying in the same room can give Josh more sense of security. For me, I read a book and it said it is only getting harder to move a kid when he grows older. I have a friend and her daughter is 4 years old now and is still staying in the same room with her. So I think it’s time to move Josh. What do you think?

Natalie is calling your hubby "Lo Kun", and my daughter is now sometimes calls my dad" lo dao" (Old Bean). sometime she heard me call my dad that, and she don't repeat it at then, but after a period of times, all the sudden she pop up a line, "where's lo dao", and some time when i call my mom " Ma", and at night my daugher ask me "mommy, where's my ma?" kids just so funny, and now my daughter think that "lo dao" is another way to call her grandfather, coz my dad told me she told call her daddy "lo dao", but she refuse, she said that's my daddy, no "lo dao".

We are struggling with the same issue on when to move Natalie to her own room. Initially we were thinking of moving her last week (she's 13.5 months), but then the weather got cold and I'm too lazy to walk across the hall few times a night to put blanket on her. So we've push the moving plans until next spring. Honestly, I think I will miss being with her at night if she's in her own room. We have a twin bed in the nursery right now so I think I will probably have to stay with her for a while when she moves over. :lol: :lol: :lol: One thing I'm glad is at least she's sleeping in her own crib and not in my bed.

Your dad must be hilarious when your baby called him Lo Dao...must make grandpa feel alot younger. Imagine if she calls him that in the public...hehehe :-P :-P

你講得啱, 我真係自有Amanda之後第一次返出嚟做埋, 可能自己俾太大壓力自已, 好似自己"瓣" "瓣"都顧唔掂, 返工都ok.. after 2 months working, 我已上晒"鬼"道.. 但家庭同Amanda..都令我好頭痛..諗起-->徧頭痛就會發作

. 我以前做女... 最堅試過連續4年, 每年11月到第二年2月就返香港, 120日返工, 日日12個鐘做私家看護... 完全唔放假, 做來年大學生活費... 日日咁挨,我都龍精虎"moun"---> 唔通我真係老得咁快???

We plan to have a "Dai Bean Lo" at Novermber, will be at my place again..
I will prepare the food.. if everyone stays late, and you don't want to drive back to Pen.. you can stay a night in my place.. second floor is free.

For Amanda.. as me and fat bear have commitment, after she born, then we will change the name of each other.. fat bear calls me "mama", I call him "baba", so Amanda learns to call me "mami, or mama", he calls Fat bear as "baba".. ^o^
