for chinese medicine, i started to take in oct 2005 & took it until my first iui trial in july 2006, so around 10 months. it's lucky that my ec gave me powder medicine, but still it's so boring to go to visit ec every week & take the medicine twice everyday, plus taking bbt everyday, which really makes me really stressed. but of course, the chinese medicine did help, at least my cycle became more stable & bbt has improved (noticeable rise of temperature can be seen).

I have strong M come feel today (12 days after IUI)and even had some brown discharge. I know I will fail again but one thing I don't understand is as I am still using progesterone vaginal capsules, I should not have M until I stop using the capsules. Is something wrong?
i also had brown discharge last iui even though i was still on the vaginal tablets & the discharge had lasted for a few days b4 m come. but dun want to disappoint u, u still have chance as long as m has not yet come!
but remember to tell dr about the discharge. in my case, it's becos of the rather low progesterone level. so he can do sth about it in the next treatment.
I am seeing even more brown discharge today :-( and have talked to my dr about it just now. He said sometimes the progesterone supplement might not be able to hold the lining. Dr told me to continue to use the supplement until pregnancy test. I guess my 黃體功能 was too deficient. Thank you for your encourangement but 我已打定輸數
My husband and I have decided to move on to IVF. As I am very likely to have left-over cysts again, doctor suggested I could either rest one month or take birth control pills to make the cysts go away faster. By that time, he would discuss how to proceed with IVF.
I know taking a month rest would do no harm but I am so frustrated with the the process that me and my husband just want to get it over and done with. cdecde, can you please give me some advice?

Thanks for your encouragement. Today is the day to do the pregnancy test. Not that I had any expectation, but just to finish 埋啲手續 so that I can call an end to my IUI treatments and move on. As expected, the result was negative.
In the coming days, I really have to make up my mind as to whether to take a month break or take the birth control pills prescribed by doctor. I know with the birth control pills, I can begin my IVF treatment sooner. I really don't know. My mother wanted me to take a few months rest (!!!) as she said I am still young, no need to be in such a hurry. She was basically worried that the hormonal injections would be harmful to my body in the long run. Although doctors said the treatments are safe, I can understand her concerns.
it's good to hear that you have decided to move on to ivf. i think it's a good idea to do ivf cos for iui, there is really no way to know the reasons for failure. for all 3 times iui, i thought the reason for failure was the quality & size of my eggs. but after i've done ivf, i know my progesterone level was the major problem.
as for resting or not, my dr didnt give me the option, ie i had to rest for a month every time i finished the treatment cos i have the same problem w/ u - leftover cysts.
may i know if u take birth control pills, u can proceed w/ ivf the next cycle? i guess u can consult the dr first for the procedures if u take birth control pills. but in my opinion, there is no harm to let the body rest for one month cos u need to take the nasal spray & blood test b4 starting ivf.

i dun have much special feeling now except always feeling tired (but i have always been like that! ). so it's kind of feeling insecured now. will go back to dr next week & can do u/s by then. hopefully can see the heartbeat la...
i'm thinking whether to keep on seeing dr ho or not. there is always long line up w/ my previous ob doctor. well, i think i'll make up my mind after checking up for a few more weeks first.

I have decided to take a month rest and let the cysts go away naturally. In the past months, I have taken so much medicine that I will take this month drug free and do things that I have not done for a long time since I started IUI treatments. I have given up so many travel plans, sports, for fear that I would jeopardize my chance for success. This month I can really indulge myself.
I will see doctor this Sat to discuss the procedure for IVF so that I can know in advance what will happen. I think I have problem with my progesterone level too and it seems that the vaginal tablets are not very effective on me.
Regarding the birth control pills, although I have not yet discussed thoroughly with my doctor, but from the info I get from the internet, sometimes BCP is precribed in patients doing long protocol (i.e. with nasal spray) to ensure that there are no left-over cysts and that the cysts will not be reactivated by the stimulation. BCP is really optional. Did Dr. Ho ask you to take any BCP as pretreatment in your IVF?

I really need help from all of you. I wld like to start IUI this month, however, i want to keep on seeing Chinese EC. Is it okay? I ask some doctors and they said it is better to stop chinese medicine when doing iui?? is it right??

this is a good question and i want to know the answer, but i agree with chinpearly. i guess the chinese ec must know and clear what is iui and the medicine dr use...

i visited Dr Tay today. I feel good. As I've heard many bk sisters talking about him here before, i've an "image" of him already in my mind. However, when I stepped into his room today, he looks different from my "image". it doesn't matter, i didn't think he is that tall and big.
i will back to his clinic when m come . he said he will let me try two times iui first, if fail, go to ivf .
Hi sisters, my second IUI got fail... and will go for third trial. I want to ask, do u have blood test during IUI? my doctor did not take blood test for me during the IUI, is it normal? But I had the HCG blood test before my IUI with positive result. Thanks.
