LittleLittleBear,
Oh if bite to bleed is very very serious....my experience is only pain when bitten by my little boy at that moment, immediately I will use my finger to release his mouth, tell him mama is feeling pain and show a very painful and angry face. He understands I am not comfortable so he won't bite when he sucks again. It's of course no need to stop direct feeding BB. Instead, teaching the BB with patience is the most appropriate way to guide to the right path. We need to give BB some rooms to learn not to bite, similar to newborn when they learn how to suck.
Direct feeding is such a beautiful activity with the BB. So it's only a small technical issue to resolve when it comes. Please add oil and don't be afraid. A brightful BF road is just ahead!!!
