My excel file cannot help you to get over your financial situation. But you can use it to analyze how much you have spent. Quite frankly, most people already know how much they spend on unnecessary items. The excel file is just there to help them to face the reality (if they decide to enter the real numbers in the excel).
You have to be tough and hang in there. Exercise your discipline to cut your expenses, invest your money in safe investment product. Try our best to make earning.
Think long term. Imagine what you can do with the money you saved and invested in a few years time...this will help you with the disclipine in working hard and saving money. Set your target for 3 mths, 6 mths, 1 year and 3 year...etc.
It is hard to invest for long term. I use my baby as a reason. I put in a small lump sum for my baby's education fee. I invest into several funds so it's well diversified. She is 2yr old now....so the money is expected to be in there for 15 yrs. I am optimistic that 15 years from now we probably don't need this lump sum to put her to school. But it's always better to have a plan. Also I want to show her that the parents have already setup something for her so she has a target to achieve in life.
