I have visited dangdang.com, please help, how to search the books for kids, Can I enter English in the search enginee or just chinese only?
Do you see the books in bookstore for a physical look first and then order on-line?

You had better registered first and when you have ideal books you can keep it in the 放入暫存架 first. You have to type simplify Chinese to search the book.

I paid10.17 each for "your are my child/ love you as you are" and 10.08 each for "you are special / what you need" plus the basic transportation fee. these are really good book. but it is in simplified chinese. you can check dangdang.com. they got lots of good books and very cheap.

Thank you very much for your prompt feedback and advice. I also like the books very much which I was bought in the book fair, "你很特別" and "你是我的孩子", I called to the 道x bookshop last week to check the price for the rest of the books in this serire, as I mentioned before, it is about HK$70 and more, luckily, I saw this message in this discussion forum, otherwise, I will go to buy it in next week.

I think it is fine to me although it is in simpify Chinese, since I read the story for my daughter only, I am not intend to ask her to read the book, is still too difficult for her, because she is 6 years old only.

Can you let me know how long it take to order the book from the website dangdang, I have no experience to order the book from China, I have bought some story books in Taiwan's book shop only, so I am very "green" to order the book in China's bookshop, I think it is safe to place the order since you have sucessfully bought the above books.

另外，請問有冇人知道 "Hello Reader！故事城堡" 同 "外研社儿童英语分级读物" 有乜嘢唔同？是否兩個series都值得買呢？

1. "Hello Reader！故事城堡
-->New version, 1 book (A5 size > 100 pages) + CD (including all 6 stories.). The paper is quite thin but better quality than "外研社儿童英语分级读物". The stories are the copyright from Scholastic Readers. Cheaper. ~$3X for 1 level

2. "外研社儿童英语分级读物"
--> old version, same stories as item 1.
6 stories separate into 6 books (in A4 size).
Only "Tape" included NOT CD version. More expense for each level ~>$40.

dear all,

I went to mainland bookstore to order “First step to reading”,清华儿童英语分级读物——机灵狗故事乐园, &親親自然學英語 for my daughter last sunday.

the sales lady told me that bk members can enjoy 20% discount( vs. most bookstores don't give any discount if you need to place an order).


she also has a list of books that was recommended by FXPC & other moms here.

thanks so much for sharing your experience with us.

I went to mainland bookstore (mainly in 9/F) today and bought some books for my baby (9 months). I can find what I want there, esp "幼兒的世界 - 雙語認字大卡" HK$48 & "0歲寶寶卡" HK$10 (48 pcs) + others 卡 & books (bed time stories).

Also, there's a DVD set of 6 movies of 宮奇"俊", selling price at HK$60

(all above price are original price, which have 20% discount)

However, I couldn't find the book "我的圣经故事MY BIBLE SYORY LIBRARY", can u please advise where u bought it? Thanks again

因為有幾套書我想買，但喺Dangdang又揾唔到。

我8月時打電話去留書，只有部份書有貨有得拎，咁我就比埋其它留了的書錢，當時因為30/8前仍有8折個小姐又肯幫我收埋錢照計8折比我，淨返d書就有貨先至再call我去拎。

但第二次4/9fax去留書時，我主動話想比埋錢佢先，點知今次就唔肯收了，我都有講知道佢地係樓上開了新思維有8折，因為我留的書成$460.-，8折後只需$368，足足差成$92.-當然想好似上次咁比錢先啦，慳咁多。

但係今次佢地唔收，話貨到先至call我去拎及比錢。

不過今次等了好耐4/9到依家兩個多星期了，有時見到報料話買到乜乜書，睇我4/9時都有訂到點解冇call我o既? 打去問位小姐話排緊waiting list喎。

唯有等佢call啦，因為我住元朗唔會專登出去的，現在都是找到想要的書就打去問可否幫我留書，留到有貨了就叫老公幫我拎。

我都好心急，但可以做d乜??話哂佢地打開門做生意又唔係得我一個客，冇理由專登留起比我，唔通有客上到去買佢地keep住唔賣咩。

等、等、等、等......再等等

我都在大陸書店訂了本書(無折架), 已經三個星期, 都不知他們買不買到? 有時看到想買的書已無貨的時候, 問他們幾時有貨, 總是我急佢唔急 (兩間都係), 其實他們應多做點功課, 入多D好書, 否則人人都會在網上訂書.

I order my books at mongkok mainland bookstore(8/F).
I didn't ask for discount for bk members .

when I ask the sale lady whether they have any stock of 親親自然系列, she said I need to book for that. when I making the order, I told her I want to had some other books ordered too. she asked me is it " first step to readings". I was surprised that she knew what I wanted. she told me that there're
lots of bk members went there to book kid's book.
she showed me the booklist u gals sharing here & told me I can have 20% discount if I am a bk member.

she remarked that we bk moms are really 厲害 as we can search good books faster than they do.
