琛探長MaMa, is Your son alright now??? Now I know how nervous and worried can I mom be when the child is not feeling right especially during the night...I took my BB for 2nd injection yesterday and the doctor told me that she should not get a fever (under normally situation), anyway she still had a slight fever and not feeling well, she woke up a few time at night and cried a bit. I can tell she is not comfortable and had a slight fever. My mum + maid + I woke up few times also during the night to check on BB + comfort her (very tiring but luckily it's Sunday the next day!!)
We all worry so much about whether our BB drinks too less or too much , too light or too heavy, warm or not warm enough, kick off the blanket in the night or bury the nose in the pillow .......etc etc...
NowI know the mum's loving care is the greatest thing in the world and nothing can be replaced, so mums, we should love our mum more because what we are doing to our children now is what they have done to us before. Such as all the worries and all the sleepless nights that we are going through now are also gone through by our mums too.
琛探長MaMa> I think that doctor in the 24 hours clinic may not be that bad but he just didn't explain to you clearly what may actually happened. I remember that when my girl was about 10 months, she had a high fever with no other symptoms (such as running nose, flu) in the middle of the night, so we took her to Princess Margaret hospital . The doctor over there said it was very dangerous for a baby to have high fever and no other symptoms, and they have to find out what actually caused the fever, it might be some kind of infection from her inside body, untreated infections may move quickly to the kidneys/brain which can cause permanent damage to the baby.
Anyway, they started with a urine test on her, they found some blood tissue in her unrine and suspected her had URI (Urinary tract infection). She had to admit to the hospital immediately. They did a blood test in the next morning to confirm it. After that, they also found she has some bacteria in her body. Anyway, they keep on follow-up her case for 6 months until she is cleared. After this, I agreed that Government hospital also provide very very good service.
BBChu> Holy Family is a good school, that's why I picked this school for the first round allocation. However, my girl is not a gentle and clam style girl, and I think she would be definitely happier and fit in St Margaret teaching style then Holy Family.
