係呀,我自己都有彈下,好過個仔DD啦!
嘩!Peter P2已經 grade5啦! 好勁呀! 我其實想比佢考琴欏經驗,話就彈緊book 3 d書,但係我估佢得 grade1-2之間的程度咋! d sight reading仲....

Maggie 都好似係P2? 又係好勁! 大提琴同琴一齊學,都有好成績,真係不易. 我個仔同一時間學琴同小提琴,但係小提琴真係無時間練.

Maggie 邊叻丫, 佢練習既時間都係好少嫁咋, 又要同大提琴隔住練, 所以其實對佢都冇乜好要求, 都係比佢黎點綴下生活 :lol: .

我個女唔可以叫'彈得一手好琴',呢度仲有好多高手,不過佢火其麟,周身引,我都唔知點搞,佢懇求我好耐,叫我開個古箏比佢玩,以現時既情況,佢好似鐘意古箏,比佢激死呀,而我就高級數既歌(以我程度

Peter今年10/11月考琴時升P3架喇!佢都係僅僅handle到grade 5, 佢sight reading又係唔多掂, D新歌間中要James幫手架!

James 考琴List C揀左首alternative piece(即考級本琴書冇既), Tom Lee係法國訂過黎要成HK$4xx,

結果我響www.everynote.com俾左US$1.59 download左份譜落來,到時叫James背左佢去考,慳返唔少!

我仲search到另一個免費download classical sheet music website:

Welcome here! Your younger boy is really so talented!

My elder boy, James (9) and younger boy, Peter (8) are going to take grade 7 and 5 respectively this yr as well. I've just posted the application form.

Which pieces are they going to play?
James will play A2, B4 and C6 while Peter will play A2, B3 and C6.

Dear JP,

My son is going to play A3, B2 and C3 while my daughter will choose A2, B1 and C2.
After discussing with their piano teacher, maybe they will join the exam on Apr/May next year because their teacher request them to have 130 marks or above. (It is their taecher's passing mark). Thus I'll like them to have more time for preparation.

Congratulations to your boy again---for double champions in both violin and piano!

Your kids' piano teacher is really tough wor--- "distinction" is the passing mark!

I believe they're all very confident in achieving the goal.

BTW, how long do they practise piano/violin every day? Just for reference.

For my daughter, I force her to practice at least 1 hour everyday(~2 hours during holidays).
For my son, he practices piano ~1.5 hours everyday, but he spend less time in violin (~1/2 hour). So he really give me a big surprise for getting the champion in his violin competition.

How about your two sons? I know that (from this forum) your sons are also very good in piano, right?!

Your boy is really talented & hardworking wor (practising 1.5 hr/day)! He deserves the champions!

My boys are actually NOT SO GOOD in piano! They're neither talented nor hardworking. My younger one practises 30-40min/day while the elder one practises 45-60 min/day. Since I'm a working mom, I really can't squeez much time in supervising their daily practices giving that I need to check and revise their homework as well.

Are you a full time/working mom?

Yesterday, my kids' piano teacher told me that one of his student, an 11 year old girl, has won the champion in a grade 7 piece with 93 marks (far above the 2nd prize at 85 marks or sth). The judge's comments were most honourable---"he really enjoyed the performance" and the judge even offered to recommend the girl to study music in Europe! But the girl's parents declined the offer on financial grounds as one of them need to accompany the girl's study aboard and they're not confident to make the living there!

You see, we've got quite some music talented kids here in HK! :mrgreen:
