I gave birth in Queen Mary last time and will be the same this year. I jealous about the "One-stop test" for most of you since the Down's test in QM will do seperately in 12 weeks and 16 weeks, that will spend me more time to know the exact result....

Maybe we met before ar. I remember a lady stay in front of my bed deliveried by a lady doctor from mainland china. I do not know if is you or not.
I was delivered by a HongHong助产士last time.
Ii was ok. But I have to 拆线 after 3 days. I didnot like it. Why some no need 拆线 , some have to 拆线 ?

If you are uncomfortable of the student to check you, you can inform the nurse before the check up. I remember they have a sign on the door.

Why you have to check inside your body? I didnot need. Is it have to do?

Now I am 11 weeks. How about you?

Hi, Emily Mami,

I think it's not me, because I was in the c-section room... But it was the lady doctor from China who helped to operate. Well, so so la, her skill was not very excellent but acceptable.

Since I had c-section so I also needed to "Detach-the-string" from my tummy. But it's OK, not painful (Perhaps there was a thick layer of fat on my tummy so I could not feel it! :lol: )

I've asked for non-student doctor to check my body but the nurses said it might take me longer hours to wait for the senior doctors to see me.. Well, no way la.... I could only accept it.

I also needed to be checked (The inside-body) during the first trimaster last time, why they did't check you? I don't know, perhaps you've told them that you've checked in private doctor???

Now I'm 12 weeks and 2 days la!!

Yes, maybe we can meet at PWH on Friday....

My 1st baby's doctor is Ares Leung Kwok Ling. But now he only on duty in TST and so I change to Chan Fan this time. I only meet her once and not known good or bad. But both Ares Leung and Chan Fan will be available at Union (Tai Wai Yan On).

Let me know if you want to know more and we can discuss.

Any other mummy also see Chan Fan???

is chan fan good? i used to see Ophelia chan and she is good but she only go to St Teresa's or Baptist. But i live in Shatin now. so worry. my friend told me the second baby will come very soon. no time for me to travel so long.

你在QM做檢查, 是包埋做Down's test架?? 會唔會係佢同威院化驗既方式唔同, 所以要求既week數都唔同哩?

我上一胎已經是睇陳帆的，她是女醫生，在尖沙咀及沙田都有診所，佢好細心有經驗，好緊張bb，上一次我個b臨出世時細左dd，佢仲緊張過我。不過佢比較難book，同埋book左都一樣要等，而且由於booking多，如果你個ｂ無乜特別事，可能連埋照超聲都係５mins到就睇完。一般一次收費連維他命、鈣及葉酸就$380，打針及檢血另計。

5 minutes seems a bit short wor. And need to wait so long.

Em.. I saw her once for breast checkup before I know I am pregnant.
Then, I found out I am pregnant and told her I cannot take her medicine. She asked me to see her to check the baby. So, I went to her TST office when I was 6 weeks pregnant.

The visit is really very short and I think her machine is not very good cos I cannot see baby very clearly. I used to see baby very clearly with machine at other doctor's place.

But machine is not important. If she is good, I may change to see her.

A bit worry cos EDD is 17/2/2004. If I give birth one week earlier, it will be Chinese New Year and some doctors may go on leave.

Does she encourage natural childbirth?

Did you use natural childbirth or c-section for your 1st kid by Ares Leung? Was he good?

Though I work in TST, I don't normally go to prenatal check at private doctor on weekdays cos I want to go with my husband.

Chan Fan looks a bit "Dai Luk" look to me and always speaks with hesitation. That makes me a bit less confident with her. But I'll see. One of my friends highly recommends her.

This is also your second baby. Do you know people say the second baby will get out very quickly? I am so worry since my first baby just took me 1.5 hour.

我上次是在政府醫院生架，所以我都唔清楚佢接生要收幾$。佢門診的時候真係好快架，所以要主動d講，主動d問，佢唔會因為趕時間而唔答。而如果bb有事或者你自己唔舒服就會睇耐d。通常如果老公陪我去時，佢照超聲波亦會耐小小。佢都好鼓勵家人一齊去照超聲波架，我家姐個時我地成三大兩細一齊去睇佢照，都ok架。
同佢同一間診所有位梁國齡醫生亦是十分十分好的，but是男人，睇佢直情好似上堂一樣，好詳細架，大吉利是bb有乜事or自己有疑問不防去睇佢當上堂都低。

I think so. QM also is very detail in checking every issue and everything is in their schedule. Just like me, they request me to check my blood for the contain of "Blood-sugar" this week just because I'm old enough to check (They need to prevent every problem from me in this age therefore they'll have no "wok".)

So, i think public hospital is good enough, just a bit troublesome for me to apply leave from office.
