Carmen,

Hope Nic get well soon law.

You know I blame myself a lot when my son got sick. I just don't understand why everyone said the breastfeed babies are stronger so why my son is sick already at 4 months, I blame myself for bringing him out too often law.

But then lately the weather is really bad think it's why so many babies are sick even ones who are breastfeed, who don't go out law.

Hi chunchunmama and cicy,

Nic is better today than yesterday but still has a little bit cough. My Dad scolded me a lot yesterday as I brough my son out during the Easter Holiday. I was very unhappy that I, of course didn't want my son to get sick. When Nic got sick, he didn't like to drink milk and it seems that he wanted to tell me he was not feeling well. But this morning, he wants to drink milk when I direcly feed him.

Yes, cicy, you are right that maybe this period, the weather is not so good that a lot of people get sick.

joan, be happy and smile, add oil and don't give up.

I cannot join the last gathering because my bb got 4 months injection on 24/3. I worried that she might be sleepy, so I stayed at home. I will join your next gathering then.

Hi all,

Long time not login as 峻德 bb these days suddenly drinks a lot at night, 7pm after I return home from work and then 10pm again ... making me a bit exhausted.

Joan, don't be so unhappy ... sorry that I really don't know how to help, but mothers here will fully support you!! Maybe you can try clownfish's suggestion of letting 悅晴啜耐d. Does 悅晴 sleep well? How about try playing with her more at daytime so that she can sleep better and longer at nights to gain weight? But after all, 悅晴 in fact is really 精靈 when I saw her at the gathering! So don't worry too much and relax! My 老爺奶奶 sometimes also queried my bb's weight once they met other formular fat babies at clubhouse or 公園. But they usually forgot about this when 峻德 smiles and plays with them. So health and activeness, rather than weight, is our prime concern ! Add oil!

Carmen, hope nic can get well very very soon la!! I know it's really 心痛 to see your tiny beloved become ill ... but don't blame yourself !! Babies who are breastfed will get over illness more easily than other bb! So as bf moms, you're already reinforcing your bb's health. Cheer up!

Need to get back to work loh!

妤妤, 我心情自昨晚已平伏多了。其實我已經不是拿bb與人比, 但就本身的trend已經好嚇人。她應不只現有的體重, 一定是出了些問題未發覺, 但姑娘&醫生未必咁有耐性幫您找原因。要自己解決。好在我有bk朋友!

Chunchunmum, 姑娘都話我比太大壓力自己, 您講得對bb漸漸會成為我一切! 小心小心!

Carmen, 其實我都唔覺得BB不健康, 仲好精靈。只是如果她不是一條一條線趺下去就好了。 放心, Nic會好快好! 我B兩個月時cough幾聲, 我也帶了她去睇醫生, 1-2天便好。醫生的眼神好似話我太緊張添。

Clownfish, 對, 我應試吓比她食耐D, 我以為她不放口是當了我做安撫奶咀, 而自己又好以冇料到了, 她其實食了5min.左右便食得好輕, eyes closed, 都唔sure是食還是sleep, 所以我就自己stop佢。 未想過一個breast的奶可以食咁耐都仲有!?!

Cicy, tks., 我都試過一次, 現在非常時期, 我都會每天比小小她吃(1oz milk + 1 湯匙 rice cereal)。

Joan,

My son always close his eyes when he drinks directly from me. When he was young, people kept telling me he is asleep and using me as 安撫奶咀 but now I can tell he is actually just enjoying the moment and close his eyes. I will know when he is really asleep and using me as 安撫奶咀 and will pull him away law.

Joan,
呈芝有時食到20分鐘就會放慢，但見佢都係啜緊，所以我無停佢。因為有時我突然會有谷奶，於是佢又會啜得密d，咁樣循環我會有1-2次谷奶。不過有時感覺到佢係好"求其"啜，只係個咀仔"求其"郁，我就會鬆開佢。試過鬆開佢之後，佢個咀仔仲郁緊，我就知佢無認真啜，當我係奶咀。
不過太長時間都未必好(好矛盾)，我唔知係唔係因為俾佢啜得太長，所以乳頭有時會痛。同埋最好訓係度餵，因為坐得太耐條腰骨真係好痛。

How Nic is going? I plan to come over to your place this weekend to try the sling. Maybe wait until Nic get well as u need to spend more time with him. Why your doctor do not allow u to bring bb out?

Joan,
Do u know whether BB will take off her mouth when she is full (U said that u stop her). My BB will take off her mouth when she is full. She sometimes 啜 1 hour (Although the nurse says don't let her . 啜more than 30 mins). When I found her stop 啜, I take her mouth out and she starts crying so I put it back and she starts to 啜 again. So I think she is too tired to 啜. (remember when BB drinks milk, she is doing exercise and she feels tired.) So maybe u can try to feed her until she takes off her mouth.

我囡都好輕我而家想辦法是什麼原因. 因為我泵出來給她吃可以食8oz, 但埋身就唔多食所以泵奶赿來赿小. bb又唔夠重. 我而家試下食奶姿勢希望有改進.

I am glad that we can talk and share here as sometimes not a lot of people will understand 母乳媽媽 and of course all our babies are borned in Nov.

Melody, not the doctor do not allow u to bring bb out. It's my Dad. He said don't bring bb out too often as it is easy to get sick.
As Nic is still a little bit sick, I just don't want to pass the cough to Megan. Maybe coming weekday or weekend is fine for me. Give me a call if it is OK??

So sad that 津津 is sick for a week. I hope he will get well soon asap. Nic was sick last week but is much better now. I have to keep watch and see if he is fully recover. If not, I need to bring him to see the doctor again.

As what the doctor said, these periods a lot of people get sick esp. 流感高峰期. Everyone must need to be very careful!!

Anna, you remember you have told me that if we injected the 流感 injection, we can pass it to our babies. Is this true? If yes, I may go and have the injection as well. ?-(
