350D should be better than PowerShot Pro... in terms of feasibility... as it can use different lens.

I'll go to Japan in July. I plan to bring

1 x camera body
1 x lens ( Canon 24-70 F2.8 )
1 x flash
only...

One lens should be good enough for general use. And, Canon 24-70 is my most common use lens.

I have Canon 16-35 in the past. However, I only use it for 5 times (in last 4 years). Therefore, I sold it in this month.

If you buy a lens only use for few times, it's very expensive. if you buy a lens which can use for quite a number of times, then it's worth.

Talking about my Canon 16-35, I only use it for 5 times... The cost for each photo taking event is very expensive.

Thus, I'd recommend that you should think about what's your requirements before you buy a camera or lens. If you only use it for few times only, then I do not recommend to buy it.

So, I keep to use my camera body + lens every week...

最 cheap 都要$5xxx 加埋 350D body = over $1xxxx！ 都好和味吓！ 不過因為上年去歐洲，淨係用部IXUS430，好多靚景都影唔曬！ 唔係個鐵塔冇咗個頂，就係羅浮宮個金字塔冇咗個底 顧得個景 d 人就豆豉咁細，影到個人就冇咗景！ :tongue: d 相大部份都係"斬件相"，真係好 "side" 呀！所以今次的起心肝，諗住買部靚 d 嘅 camera，影低 d 靚景！

買Full Frame機就唔會有焦距增長問題!!
焦距增長係因為一般D-SLR感光元件比Full Frame小
只能把影像中間記錄,有如Zoom遠1.5倍的效果

The reason why I only bring 1 x camera body and 1 x lens is because...

I think we both need to take care our kids... I am not able to bring too many stuff... otherwise, you may need to take care your lovely kids and your camera equipments... It'll be a tough task.

I'd just like to bring up one more choice for your consideration:
Nikon D50 + 18-200mm (lens: 有防手震)
It would cost around $9800, but gives a better range for taking photos while travelling with one lens only. And it can do some close-up too. I personally am using the 18-200 lens and I think it really is a best buy.

Hihi all,

I wanna to buy 350D also, but my hubby wonders if the new model will be issued soon! Ppl always say that around 18 months for a new model, so difficult to decide... Thanks!

我有個朋友在286年代已經話買電腦話到今時今日都未買，原因同你hubby相同，想買又收到風又有新model出，新model出又要等新嘢爹多啲人用平啲先，同平啲又收到風又有新model出...........，如是者過左20年.......。唉，佢真慳左唔少錢law。
相機幫係記錄這一刻，這一刻不會等你有相機先離開，所以買任何"工具"只需考慮現在及短期內有冇用，價錢是否負擔得起就得，否則，20年轉頭就過去。

A-DEP是影風景多.
用AI-SERVO多D wow, 用來追焦, 因bb打千秋, 走動緊, (你要影郁動緊的東西, 因佢唔會停下比你對焦影相)
所以, 半按快門, 追住主體對焦.
影一行多人照 = 對焦都係對中間個人, 光圈收細兩至三級, 晚上就打外閃, 快門60-80, 光圈5-5.6

I can't wait anymore cos I'll go to Alaska in July. I need to learn and practise how to use the camera. You can wait for the new model if you're not in urgent.

我買Canon 350D時(5月初)亦想了很久,主因是
1. 有一1半時間影室內相, 又不想用flash, 借了Canon 350D前1-2級用(forget model no.)發覺對焦快, ISO 800 o.k.
2. Canon 350D 像素高些(心理上好D)
3. 問過永X D人話Nikon D50的children mode只是顏色之調校
所以最後買Canon 350D。可惜沒有機會試用Nikon D50。
