Nice to meet u here. There is something that I would like to share. Wish this can balance your feeling.
I also lived in Vancouver more that 10 years ago, I worked there for some years, life there has been good. But a that time I miss HK, so I went to HK, at first I was disappointed too, may be i just remember it good thing when I was in Vancouver.... I stayed in HK for 7 years, everything was not good. Cannot even find a boyfriend. I begain to miss Vancovuer...
Last year, I got married, my husband live in Toronto. So I am happy that I can move back to Toronto, but when I was back in here. I was disappointed. First, I though it is because Toronto is different from Vancouver but when I talk to my brother who also move back to Vancouver recently. We both find out that Canada has changed. The health care service is declining, we are now very difficult to find a doctor here to consult and the queueing for speciality unbeliverbly long. Even if you are willing to pay, nothing can be done, the only thing that you can do is to wait. Everything is so inefficient and people here are lazy and irresponsible. The oil prize is raising... the real estate market climb up to unreasonably high..... not only has HK changed, Canada has change too.
I guess if you come back you will be disappointed too.
I think everywhere is changing, there are no paradise in this planet. Unless we are going to move again, otherwise, I guess the best thing to do it try to look at the good thing at a place.
I am unhappy about Canada but I will try to look at it good aspect like the good natual enviromnet.
I wish you could admire the good thing about HK too. eg. convenience. If I were in HK, I bet I can get the medical service "tomorrow" not a endless queuing up.
every country has it pros and cons and there is no paradise as we are all moving forward. Just try to adopt whatever we have and dont look back, you will feel better.
