yesterday 先 start 同 eggegg seriously revise Chinese = 課文 & worksheet on vocab 幾張. worksheets' 改寫句子, comprehension, 標点, etc. 無得 revise. 無 lor, last time 仲有字詞 e.g., 喝 vs. 渴, pronoun, e.g., 你我他, etc. 我係咪 miss 左 ?-( ?-( 今次咁班醒我地 ?-( ?-(

但要開工 spelling la, d Eng + GS (tests next week) 好甘 :-(

eggegg 一出世 already smarter than her parents la. Thanks I&IMOM for giving her a high hat and eggegg wants u-sa-ha-la (a rabbit whose 2 long ears of of different colors)

呢次無セ expectation:
1. after the long christmas holiday, 大家喪晒, d dictation sure keep 唔到 last term average. this term's target is keep 住 dictation average over 90 = teacher 無野同我請講.
2. eggegg 話仲有人 fail dictation (last week), 我唔怕 eggegg 是 last 1/3 in the class la.
3. 勝在有得追, eggegg's last term Chinese and Eng tests 因 time-mismanagment 失分, exam 一鋪追番. hehehe.
4. eggegg's class 是 5 班中較弱 (鬼咩, 中英數比最 lazy ２个教: 1个由 P.3 掟落來 P.1 又掛住 wedding, 另一個 is a potential target 被 fry), especially eng., last term eng. average 史無前例低 = eggegg no pressure.
5. eggegg 無 ranking, 無 elite class + 直升, 發揮到佢 ability 好夠 la.

eggegg's PE, Religion, music, etc 全計 bor, and 拉低晒 average. :-( :-( eggegg's PE not too ok, last term 84-86.

P.1 competition remains keen, but the range is also very large. Based on reference of other class, last term eggegg ranked around top 1/3, possibly at the marginal case of the big 10 in her class

looby中文差一分先攞A，其它都係A，
中、英文listening都滿分！
但係我覺得好失望，好吾開心，e+一路寫一路個心情都重好down................，佢四科主科，科科都比一年級時少o左幾分！ :-(
而且全部錯d吾小心野，已經每科考個日朝早提定佢，佢都可以錯！
如果佢可以小心d，做嘢吾好咁心急...................

looby: take it easy la. 長途賽 je, 太多 pressure 未必好. Just your best and should not be regretted. careless mistakes 指定 action je, don't too 上心. 勿比較 P.1 and P.2 = orange and apple = 無得比. Take care.

I&IMOM: no ranking, but some teachers prefer to announce the first 3 or first 10 to their classes to encourage their girls: 排名不分先后.
eggegg's class teacher does not do that, just calls out the name who gets 100 for the dictation item.
If I really want, I can ask and the teacher will only say something like, top 50, within 100, etc. I would not ask cos I don't want to 8 too much to give me pressure lei.
u-sa-ha-la: 新一代 icon after 玉桂 dog: 彩耳兔 with pink, blue & yellow color.


good news: M. Mickey has left the school la, effective on last Thurs (3 weeks life only), 2 days after I gave the statement. Tomorrow will 8 why he leaves: jump job or being fried

I&IMOM:
at home, eggegg sometimes uses 心算, sometimes the ruler when she does not want to use her heart and brain. Yesterday, just complained the school does not allow calculator for the uncounted test She does not like to do addition and substraction, unless it is test and exam time. Recently, she likes to draw clocks--first time i see her loves doing math at home.

For math, I teach eggegg to remember: 1 + 1 = 2, 2 +2 =4....till 10 + 10 = 20. So if ask 7 + 8, she should not it = 15 by adding one more to 7 + 7. Seems work by this moment.

Chinese dictation: like Isa, on her own, just copy or + a pre-dictation at home. But problems comes in the second term:
1. each chapter becomes long, 2-3 pages, 2 chapters each dictation. No tips and so have to copy whole chapter. eggegg is getting bored.
2. not much time left for her to revise Chinese dictation. Usually Mon-Wed reserve for Eng. dictation, then she only has Thrusday and Fri for Chinese. Not doing as good as last term (like Isa, 1 95 others 100 so average for the first term report is 99).

2 brain-turning questions recalled by eggegg on yesterday uncounted math test. I guess these 2 are going to kill some girls:
1. 3 + 8 = 6 + ( ): the textbook only teaches 3 + 8 = 8 + 3
2. english math. Mary has 8 candies. Joe has 5. How many candies does Joe have?: some robot-like will take it as addition.

eggegg says she put 5 for no. 1 cos need to -3 from 8 to make 3 becomes 6, so after minus 5, 8 becomes 5 = the answer lor.


A mom came back from parent day and complained: 'honestly, my girl can do maths, just cannot do those 轉彎 questions. 85 is already a very high mark, why teacher says my girl is not that ok and needs further effort.' eggeggba 扮同情 to inch her,"the teacher is wrong la, you pay $ for her to teach your girl but the teacher shift all the responsibility to you." THis moms agreed with eggeggba wor

I use this method cos eggegg does not like the exercise and so find something for her to remember: the very basics = practise smart and lazy la. Moreover, it involves 數理 (a recent trend learn from ETV). If she can understand the rationale and basics, much easier to explain when eggegg learns high level maths. Just like that <question on 8+3=6+5, already something like working on formula in higher level la. hehehe. I am rather surprised eggegg can apply this at this moment. In fact, math needs not study hard.

Our dictations do not have tips, just tell u pp.1-3 and so I have to tip for eggegg to copy. And those vocab writing books will not returned to you for revision = more effort to tip.

my request? quite high ga. I want to train eggegg to be an automatic gear lor. To eggegg, I say 70 is acceptable; for me, bottom line is 85.

Same case applies to all: if u have 90 in P.1, then should be 85 in P.2, then 80 in P.3.... So I have to save something lor. Moreover, i don't want the class teacher to talk so much in the coming parent day, cos she must find something to talk and put pressure on me la. Last time, one girl got 90+ for Chinese and Maths, 80+ for Eng, then teacher put pressure on her to work hard on Eng. teacher of another class says, only 90+ is acceptable, another pressure. Then if u are not able to turn-brain, teacher will say it is this and that.....

Moreover, these teachers are rather 口唔收 and inch. Since I will not defend vs. the noble teachers, i have to prevent them to catch eggegg's painful legs la. For parent days, eggegg has to be present with me when talking to teacher wor = has to consider eggegg's pyschology.

For u, don't happy too early, pressure comes later la cos there is elite class ah ma.

開頭自己重話，有A已經ok啦！點知內心對A嘅要求係95-100！達吾到咪吾開心囉！希望下次啦！ :mrgreen:

中文dict.一定要全課默，因為上次開家長會，老師話d同學生字都識默，可是連接词好多時都錯！ ?-(
