我剛剛發現原來有個全新媽媽會所，怪不得之前曾找不到這個topic。

多謝你們關心. 其實, 膽固醇的問題我不太怕, 因為與遺傳有關, 怕也沒有用。我媽媽也有這問題，所以她吃得很清淡，因此以前我食極都唔肥。但現在和奶奶住, 她煮的食物全部又甜又鹹, 好濃味, 跟她說過几次這對健康無益，但她的味覺...., 說得太多就傷感情。何況現在是她煮飯, 我已不用幫手, 還能說什麼。我老公說我可以自己做飯, 但我做飯是大白痴。唯有算了。 ?-( ?-(
其實，我最怕是糖尿的問題, 醫生說不要吃太多starch的食物, 少食飯,米粉和bread等，咁樣, 很難飽, 真是陰功。 ?-( ?-(

可能是我太性急返學讀書, 我整日想趁後生多讀書, 記憶會較好, 將來在這裡找工會較容易。但是奶奶又不捨得她份工，還不想全職湊孫。有時, 會好miss以前份工, 收入好, 假期多(雖然工作真的辛苦), 每個月使錢都唔駛想. 還有錢儲, 現在...... :cry: :cry:

各位媽媽,
我想問當你們開始煲粥給bb吃, 用什麼煲, 真空煲? 瓦煲? 電飯煲?(什麼牌子)

最快的方法是TT(wire), 可是很多銀行都收成60usd, 最便宜的方法是寄你自己的私人支票, 你媽咪可以到匯豐銀行以"send for collection" 的方式入票, 收費4年前係100hkd, 而家我唔知收幾多, 可能會係100-150hkd, 佢會係大約1個月既時間收到錢, 你媽咪可以叫佢入落美金戶口或者港幣戶口, 不過入港幣戶口係會俾銀行食差價, 如果你媽咪同銀行d經理好熟, 佢地係可以用"買票"方式同你媽咪買張私人票(通常金額唔會好大), 收費4年前係50hkd, 通常1-2日收到錢, 呢個方法印象中係最銀行直接入返港紙入戶口.

千其唔好去post office 買money order (in HKD), 因為佢地食差價係好深... 你會唔見左一大舊錢. 買money order (in USD), 都可以, 香港銀行通常會同你買票.

我好多時係寄錢返香港, 少量, 如50-100usd, 放係咭入面, 痴實佢, 寄返香港, 咁媽咪直接收到美金, 佢去銀行對返就可以, 係銀行有戶口唔使俾手續費. 不過風險係有可能會唔見錢.

你個朋友全身夾埋最多可以帶10000USD.

Thanks a lot!! You really expert in sending money!! I will like to know how much amount I wire to HK or use cashier check that the bank will report to IRS? Is that exceed $10,000? If the bank report to IRS, is that any consequence to us? Becasue she need the money next month and I guess wire will be the fastest way but I afraid if we wire too much at one time, the bank will report to IRS.... ?-( and I don't know what will happen in future will IRS ask us why??....

WOW!!!你真的對寄錢回香港的方法瞭如指掌，佩服佩服。由於我還要交稅和交保險費用，所以我還keep住香港的銀行戶口。現在e-banking很方便，在這裡便可以理香港的財務。我也是在-banking裡直接轉數到媽咪的銀行裡。

我記得在張國榮最後的演唱會中, 他唱起明星, 我一時感觸, 想起舊事, 流下眼淚。由葉德嫻主唱, 感覺更sad.

$10,000 or more then the bank will report to IRS, if it is $9,999.99, then the bank should not report to IRS. IRS tracks this for money laundering. However, I remember if you give money as a gift to your relative in USA, then the amount will be $10,000. per year per person. I am not sure about transferring money to HK with any limitation about that $10,000, but definitely anything over $10,000. the bank will report to IRS.

Use a bigger bank for wire is better, like bank of america or HSBC, other banks will slow down your transfer if they don't have any banks in HK. I also suggest to send $9900 instead of $10,000. Send it $9900 several times and IRS shouldn't be able to know. When the staff in the bank ask about it, then you just have to tell them any reason sound logically or with common sense, like buying mortgage, business... try not to make them supsect.

I worked in banks when I was in HK, that's why I knew. I had HSB e-banking before, but I finally cut it. I don't have to do anything with HK banks anymore! I don't even have any HK credit cards. Wherever I go, I bring my brother with me! :D

差唔多日日都煮飯﹐ 我老公感恩節要返工﹐ 佢又唔興呢D大時大節﹐ 所以冇特別煮﹐ 好似平時咁﹐ 再加上佢部份屋企人出埠玩﹐ 唔慶祝﹐所以留係屋企囉。。中國新年﹐ 中秋節﹐過冬﹐ 中國D大時大節都好似平時咁﹐因為佢都唔知係乜﹐唉。。。所以我要等個仔大個D﹐ 我要教佢地D中國歷同埋D節令。

Anyway, thank you so much!!

Did you guys go to Thanksgiving Sale this morning??
My husband and I woke up at 4:00a.m this morning and will like to meet the crowds....

So, we went to Target, Sears around 6:00a.m and guess what?? I already found at least 100 people in line...and we did not buy anything at first but saw so many people just grabbing things into their shopping cart and ..... ?-( ?-( (they maybe $10 or $20 cheaper....only wor) Finally, we also bought a CD player and CD + radio in Sears which save us total $17 (after rebate)
Cause we woke up so early and did not want empty hand ......and we want to tried Frys electronic....but too many cars and the intersection was almost blocked....so we gave up and headed home...and my husband now still in bed......sleeping...haha

I just want to share the 1st thanksgiving sale I went and I will never wake up in the morning I mean 5:00a.m. to go to that kind of BIGBIG sale next year....

We went to shopping this morning too. 但是我們要等阿仔食完早餐後才出發, 所以我們九時多才到KOHL'S, 原本我們看中的減價物品已售罄, 例如down comforter。由於現具Fisher price and Little tikes 全部半價, 所以家長們CRAZY地掃貨, 我和老公也買了一套music set 和blocks給阿仔玩。我發覺百貨公司那些瘋狂勁減的項目, 數量往往不多, 只不過作招徠顧客的手段。

Clarab and Shiba-Inu,
阿仔的確比以前肥了，不過還比不住Whalebb的囡囡, 我記得她說過她女兒在五個月時有18lbs。不過, 我已很滿足了，因為他在四個多月時增磅很少，三個星期也重不到一磅。現在他的體重穩定增長, 我已很開心。正如你所說, 我們都要感謝神保守我們有健康的bb。
仔仔五個多月, 反應多很多，真的好玩好多。奶奶放他斜坐在soft在, then 輕輕捉住他雙手，對他說, 一二個三起, 他就自己挺起腰板坐起來, 還露出眼睛發光, 很滿意自己的樣子。 :wink: :wink: 剛才我第一次喂他食香蕉容, 他食到lam lam 脷。平時他不肯飲奶, 一定要趁他睡著才可以餵奶，現在見他enjoy eating, 我希望他以後都是這樣。

Hi Ladies,

I'm new to BK and happy to find your message board. I live in LA and have a 4 month old baby girl. Since my bb is so little, we did not wake up early for Thanksgiving sale. Hopefully I can stop by the mall after dinner tonight. Are any of you girls full time mom? I'm debating if I should go back to work in January after maternity leave?! I have a HK nanny that comes in during the day to take care of my daughter when I go to work but still not very comfortable leaving her with someone.

Thanksgiving 個日,我同我老公同埋我亞哥去咗食buffet,之後就去睇放係海灘中心的假christmas trees 亮燈, 之後就行吓 (因為之前食得太飽,我亞哥仲話,飽到想嘔tim, 我老公就眼都突埋睇住我哋兩個食不停,真係失禮

)..一路上, 小肥佬都表現得好好,無喊過,成六個鐘,我都係餵過佢一次, 佢大部份時間都係瞓覺.. :mrgreen:

我都有放亞仔係個couch度坐,不過係挨住後面囉.不過亞仔腰力未夠, 有時本應坐得好挺咁,都會好似比薩鈄塔咁, 鈄晒,用隻手嚟頂住嚟坐. 咁就唯有幫佢坐番正囉..都幾得意架.有時佢坐住,我會放d玩具係佢面前,佢居然"鍾"前去嚟,用個口嚟吮d玩具,我真係比佢笑屎我..

Welcome welcome !!!!
My little boy will be 4 months old next week. Now he weighs 18 lbs and is 25.5" tall. What about your little girl ? I believe that your bb took a shot when she turned 4 months old , how many shots did she take at that time ? I remember mine took 4 shots when he was 2 months old that scared me. He did pretty good, he stopped crying when I gave him a big hug, and went back to sleep on the way home. After that, he had to take some medicine to prevent a fever from the vaccinations because he's too fat ..
I'm stay-at-home mom, I watch my bb everyday, it's kind of boring, I wish I could work instead.

你有乜銀行問題, 我識答都會答你架. 我今年thanksgivings 煮火雞, 以前都係聖誕節先煮. 因為以前thanksgivings 係去sister-in-law到食飯, 不過今年無去, 咪自己煮囉, 叫埋奶奶同老爺過黎食, 都幾好, 雖然由朝早十點開始煮, 但係因為都plan 過點煮同煮d乜, 所以都好輕鬆! 但係洗晒所有用具就分左2日黎洗, 因為我冇dishwasher, 加上食完火雞真係好想訓教, 又好累, 咁有d 就留返第二日先做囉.

Are u ok now? Take care and hope u are OK! If your lower back is still painful, see if your doctor can help. I have lower back pain on and off because I hurt myself once during hiking - ~~ "wind wet" of old people :cry: So be careful and rest more these days!

After "hearing" your explanation about sending $$ in and out of US, I just hope that I have asked u beforehand! Last time when we first arrived in US, we ask family in HK to help wiring >$10000 to our US account because we thought we might need it. After a while, we learnt that we needed to pay tax for the account here, then we decided to wire the sum back to HK. So stupid - pay the bank for nothing and still it may have reported to IRS already! :evil:

BTW, "Shiba-Inu" is a kind of Japanese dog. I chose it because it seems a cute dog, printed on the calender placed next to my computer!

We did not go out to enjoy the after-thxgiving sales - because we have shopped crazily for almost 2 weeks already!

We shopped for X'mas gifts for families and friends in HK! (Of course shopping for myself also! :mrgreen:)

我今早同我老公,同埋個仔,5.00am去best buy 排隊掃貨,
dvd 機 $17.9,其他有d都好平,不過排隊比錢排左成2個幾鍾,走個時都成10點幾,搆到無得去其他big sale shopping.

Hi 小肥佬,

Wow, your little boy is very chunky. My daughter was 14 lbs and 24 inches 3 weeks ago. I will bring her to get her 4 month shots next week and see if she gained any in weigh/height. The doctor gave her 3 shots when she was 2 months old...I felt so sad for her. :cry: She cried a little and also fell asleep on our way home. She had fever for 2 days last time so I will probably give her tylenol before we go next week.
