Pls also let Mr. Yap know that we really can pass GST, did not ask did not even look. Just saw our luggage (2 medium size suitcases + 1 carton + several plastic bags) in the distance if the counter staff ever bothered to look.

The credit for getting the GST refund goes to AMom ga. Mr. Yap said they called the GST authorities and checked, reply was the goods must be with us when we leave Sing otherwise cannot claim woh.
So Mr. Yap initially refused to fill in the form for GST for those books which needed to be posted back.
Then AMom said we can try and see, if not they GST counter will cross out what we can't get refund for, no harm in trying.
Then Mr. Yap thought of our huge order, and filled out the form for us.
In the end I privately "sing" him a box of Kei Wah egg rolls !

And it was not possible for their Logistics Dept to deliver the books to our hotel, so they got a staff to deliver in person not via their Logistics Dept.

HSBC,

they locked my credit card, said I luk card in electronic goods woh !
I first luk a sum for S$138 (Thomas small books + Pixar car books) which my son wanted on the spot.
Then luk a sum for S$6xxx, = HK$29,9xx, this one got through.
Before I left HK, I deposited HK$26000 in the credit card a/c to maintain free balance in credit limit, which should be enough for entire Sing Pop + for Sing purchases.
After that S$6xxx, my card couldn't get through.
Not even for the sunglasses S$32.4 2 days later.
So just then I called HSBC card centre, transferred to Security Dept,

them, said they locked my card because I bought electronic goods woh !
I asked whether they knew how to read and write - the item shown was Popular Books - Orchard Rd Sing. And why they didn't query my deposit of HK$26000, but queried when I still had unused credit limit.

They said they called me to ask --- CRAZY, I didn't use roaming, nobody in the office at 8pm that night if they really called, if I were in Sing which was so nearby and easy to go to and a popular place to visit, how come they call my home tel. No message left in my mobile until 1July, we went to SingPop on 29June. So I also queried their common sense - what they do doesn't make sense.

Then the girl thanked me for returning thier call, I

and told her, I wanted to clarify that I wasn't RETURNING their call in any way, cos I didn't RECEIVE their call in the 1st place.

I also

"3" in this morning. They de-activated my sim card in this morning as they claimed that I didn't pay wow. 1st, I didn't recevie any statement from them in May (they claimed they stop issue b/w since April). Every night, I rec'd call (music only) from them but no one talked

and at last someone left voice mail to me and said press *231 to check how much to pay. I pressed many times but no feedback. On 1 July morning, I got the figure finally and pay them immediately. However, in this morning, the said I didn't pay yet

and said if I need the pay statement for May back, I need to pay $35 and if every month I need the pay statement, I need to pay $10 wow

I said I pay $3xx per month and still need to pay this $35 and $10

then the girl said they waive the one for me in June (accumulate the one in May) free of charge (exceptional case wow)

Such a bad bad service (this is not the first time I got the bad service from them la, last time they cut my roaming also without checking their a/c dept. whether I paid or not. Besides, they called me to pay the roaming within 12-hour only

)

Sing Trip Diary

29 June (Thurs) :

Arrived in Sing 2pm, 5pm by the time we left hotel to take MRT to Orchard MRT station, peak traffic, vvv packed train.
Arrived in Popupar by 7pm and found Mr. Yap. Then stayed in shop until 9pm+, kids started to get sleepy.
Then went to Wisma Atria food court for dinner - a round of cold fruit juice first, which woke the kids up. Then tried 蝦炒麵(福建style，生麵)，satay (chicken, pork, beef), chicken rice，thai pineapple fried rice，misc。 Then piglet went around and found the dessert 冰stall，got S$1.5 from me to buy a 冰山，had 2 teaspoons and decided to play with it instead, destroyed the 冰山.
Then we went back to hotel, kids managed to stay awake until we got back to hotel.

30 June (Friday) :

We loitered in Takashimaya for sunglasses, Harrods and food court, at 2:30pm waited for new design medium size to arrive (3pm) decided to go to food court to have lunch, completed purchases at Harrods by 4pm, went to Cust Services Dept for GST (S$6), left Tak by 5pm, waited for taxi to go to zoo but zoo closes at 6pm, finally decided NOT to go to zoo but went to my cousin's home instead and Amom's A + piglet played with my cousin's kids until 7:30p, another cousin picked us up for Night Safari.

At Night Safari we saw animal show, then took tram ride, then had hamburger / hot dog dinner at Night Safari foodcoout. Past 11:30p by the time we left, cousin took us back to hotel.

1 July (Sat) :

Went to Raffles Place food court for brunch (we were too late for breakfast), had Jap 鰻魚飯，豬腸粉，雞飯，炒貴刁，韓國牛肉+飯，fruit juice / smoothie.
AMom bought a skirt set for A, S$ = HK$6x.
Piglet got a TY Beanie Baby medium size bear, USA blue, S$20.

Went back to hotel, niece picked us up, to Sentosa.
Saw Dolphin show, underwater world. Wanted to see fountain/laser show, but show was for 7:40p, too full, gate closed before 7pm. Saw an Indo fire-eating show instead.
Piglet played mini-football with my niece's son afterwards ! Sooooo hot !

Then went to Man Tung Kee for chicken rice. But already deteriorated in standards from my previous try 1x years ago.
The best was the iced lime drink.

2 July (Sunday) morning :

We took the Duck Tour (S$50 for 1 adult + 1 child), charged separately but easier to remember.
Good fun ga.

Then my cousin's wife took her own kids + A + piglet back to hotel for afternoon nap,
my cousin took us to an old-style tea house behind Orchard Road, for kaya bread + poached egges + tea with milk.
This one is definitely much better than that Ya Kun kaya.
Fresh bread then toasted, much thicker slice of butter, and much thicker layer of kaya.
The Ya Kun kaya is now a franchise, we tried the one in Takashimaya food court - bread is dry then toasted, vvv thin layer of kaya can't even taste it, vvv thin layer of butter if any !!

Then went to East Coast Food Centre area for dinner with my sister + her daughters + her grandchildren.
Little Red House is opposite to the No Name seafood restaurant. Tried the Black Pepper crab, tomato crabs for the kids, steamed prawn (what's the diff between prawn / shrimp ? Former one larger ?), salted fish fried rice, big sing tze ( 蟶子)，荳苗，鐵板薑荵鹿肉。Just under S$500 for 14 ppl incl kids.

Then left around 10:30pm, my niece drove us back to Lao Pa Sat for satay (chicken, mutton). S$5 for either 10 or 12 sticks. yummy. And the kids went to see 拉茶。

Left around 11:30pm, tried to get a taxi, found everyone "On Call" (i.e. need to pay a few S$ extra).
So we went to MRT and took the last train back to station near hotel (City Hall station).

And the Sings are soooo stubborn.
I already asked my niece(s) who were getting the cakes for me, to ask the cakeshop to put 2 cakes in 1 box so it is easier for us to carry back to HK. Maybe pack in a big carton box to bring back.

Then I got 16 boxes, double the height of the cake.
Kept on saying that the cakes will be squashed, CANNOT put 2 cakes in a box.

I had to transfer them into 8 boxes, i.e. 2 cakse per box, in hotel that last night.

The height of 2 cakes = height of box. Just fit.

Of course 8 boxes are much easier to carry than 16 boxes la !!

The Sing Pop Little Grammar series were books + CD ga.

Mr. Yap introduced their new product, small Ladybird-size books, which could be read using an i-Pen.
If you touch the page no. with the pen, the pen will "read" the whole page.
If you touch any word with the i-pen, the pen will read that word.
The i-Pen costs HK$2xx each.
The books average HK$20@.
Publisher : Popular UK Pte.
There are now 4 levels, 4 books per level.
Also another series with 4 + 4 more books.
Popular is publishing more books under this series.

The same books are also available without the i-Pen function.
