She does not count the meals with cal but the grams of carbonhydrates and I just need to check the food labels for choices: -
Breakfast - 15g = 1 wheat bread + 1 tbsp peanut butter or 1 cup of oatmeal (not instant one) + 1 fried egg
Snack - 30g = 6 crackers + 1 glass of milk or 1 apple + 1 glass of milk
Lunch - 45g = 1 cup / half bowl of rice + 4oz of meat (chicken, fish or pork) + at least 1 cup of vegetables
Snack - 30g = 1 cup of papaya + 1 glass of milk
Dinner - 45g
Snack before bed - 30g = 2 walnuts + 1 glass of milk + 1 oz of cheese
She also give me a list of food choices so that I can mix and match. Most of the time, I can be full and the most important thing is that she asks me to take at least 15 mins walk after each meal. It is good for burning the sugar as well as good for my body for easy delivery later. However, my doctor said that my baby still seems to be too big and I may need to consider C-section if she keeps growing bigger. Otherwise, there will be a risk of having a big tear which will affect the function of rectum. It's really scary but it takes longer to recover if I need a C-section. :cry:
