A BK mummy whose Indo DH’s current contract is due on 18 May (or thereabouts), could not get through on tel line to make interview appointment, and went directly to Indo Consulate in person with Indo DH, with all necessary papers, told the counter staff her situation, and was interviewed today.
But her document collection date was 28 May, which is past the date her Indo DH current working visa expires.
She called me up, and my advice to her was to go to HK Imm Dept immediately, and ask the officers there what she should do. (The Indo DH’s passport is still with Indo DH, and the employer has an acknowledgement slip from Indo Consulate to prove what she says.)
Hopefully the BK mummy concerned will post here her experience as to what the Imm Dept did for her in her case.
Also, the Indo Consulate asked for a photocopy of DH insurance policy, but this document can be submitted on the day of collection of documents (28 May).
One more thing, the Indo Consulate staff is overloaded with work, so don't anger her. Just wait in line quietly until she takes pity on you.
