My maid always unhappy as her husband has another woman. It's not the first. It happened last September and she planned to 離婚. Then, her husband said sorry to her and asked for chances. Recently, she receives many message from her family in Phil and tells her that her husband does it again. She looks unhappy though she can finish her routine jobs. She sometimes forget the minor things and cannot concentrate on doing housework. It really affects her performance and she is always flustrated due to family problems. It's not good to my son as she stays with him longer than us. It's also a point of the decision on renew her contract.
Maybe she plans not to renew the contract and come back to save her marriage after July. Do you suggest me to ask her in April as I need to find a new maid by the end of April? Her contract will be ended on 14 Aug 05 and she can leave on 15 July 05 the earlier if she agrees.
Also, do my son easily to forget her and adapt the new maid if I find another maid? He will be 2.5 years old in the coming October.

My maid asked for the advance payment started on Nov and borrowed our money (around HKD1500) for few times. Normally she will return the money to us by deduct from her salary. She still own HKD2000. We found out she was borrowed the moeny from the finanical department in outside. She told us about 10,000HKD was borrowed from them. Actually, we are happy about her performance and my son (2.5 yrs old) love her so much. Her contract will be finished on end of March this year. As before we plan to renew her contract, now my mother-in-law don't want us renew her contract. She afraid that once we siged her new contract, the maid can borrow money again and the trouble final will leave to us. My mother in law live with us and she is the one spend more time with the maid...it's very rush for us to make a decision.

if we deceide not to renew her contract, then when we should inform her nei?
should we pay her the one month salary (instead of one month notice), and ask her leave us immediately? Rather she stay at home and not happy, worry her will do the naughty things in the last month, what is your advise...
how can we ask her leave one month early and in her record mentioned that she was completed our contract for 2 years nei??
For my case, my maid will be expired on 14/8/05. That means she can leave on any day within 15/7 to 14/8 if we agree in both. If I want her to leave on 31/7/05, when I need to discuss with her the earliest? Do we need to have a written consent to support such verbal agreement, otherwise, how to protect myself if she 反口?
As I know, the wage only need to be counted to her last working day and plus 14 days wage for the annual leave, it is equal to one month salary in this case (I pay her every 14th for the month of service), isn't it?
