do you think I can arrange the renew procedure for her?
Can I accompany her for the interview to do the translation?
After the renewal, can we transfer/change myself as the new employer?

I think you can accompany your MIL and be her translator during the interview with Indo Consulate staff. Just tell them your MIL doesn't speak Engl.
Actually they have staff who speak fluent Cantonese too.

But if you change the "employer", you MUST process through agent. And both Indo consulate and HK Imm Dept do not recognize any transfer in employer. You need to sign a new contract all over again. There is also a problem with the maid's insurance.

If you wish to change the "employer" to you / your husband / a relative, you had better process a new contract with the maid using an agency, but of course you can find a cheap one to minimize costs.

Noted. By the way, do you know that if there is any requirement on the date of documents preparred by the maid's father vs expiry date of contract? i.e. if the current contract will be expired on 30 Oct 07, will it be ok if the documents are dated in Aug or early Sept?

Indo documents dated Aug and Sept good enough for contract renewal end Oct.
Similar case as mine woh.

下星期印尼新年, 領事館會放假一星期.
要再下星期才去領事館.

今天下午去了灣仔政務處宣誓.
有位職員問我要宣誓d乜野, 同點解要宣誓.
幸好我帶左2年前份list, 俾佢看.
當左我要宣誓話份letter of guarantee 內容屬實.
都算幾快攪掂.
希望印尼領事館收貨.

前個星期已經叫左印印去驗身($480),
上個星期出埋醫生信(好似$400).
昨天填好form.
早2個月印印父親已寄左印尼戶籍+同意書過來.

一切準備好,
再找幾張相.

下星期一叫印印等印尼領事館開門,
交文件+約埋星期三見.
數日後去取回蓋印合約,
再即日去埋入境處.
剛好趕及11月頭, 新約接著舊約.

請問：

1. 我的印傭已經離了婚，父母又已去逝，可否找她的弟弟寫同意書？

2. 到政務處宣誓，是否需要預約？是不是照那份letter of guarantee讀就可以？

3. 印傭的合約將在明年2月到期，而她的passport就會在明年8月到期，請問她可否先申請一個新的passport，之後用新的passport申請working visa？
